Family names help

I posted a while ago about various family names for our next LO but now we are getting closer to TTC and would like some more opinions. DS is Locke Michael (maiden name and husbands middle name) next boy would be Henderson James after both grandfathers, but we are a little stuck on girls names. Pretty sure Jane is in the top running for either first or middle name after my grandmother. MIL is LeeAnna and my mom is Lisa..... Really considering Annalisa for first or middle name (I know squish names don't get a lot of love here but we like it) and call her Anna. Grandmothers name is also Anne and sister is Ashleigh so Annaleigh is a close second. Last name is two syllables ending in -win.

Re: Family names help

  • I like Annalise!  Also I agree with PP, it's tempting but super difficult to honor everyone in one name.  How about using Anna, Annalise or Jane and then picking a name to go with it that you and your DH like?

  • I second Annalise, and please tell me I'm not the only one who hears Annaleigh in a bad way?!?

  • I love Annalise.  That has been a favorite name of mine for a few years!

  • I know an Annalisa, so it doesn't sound too squishy to me--though I do like Anneliese better.

I think Annalise would be a better name than Annalisa.  It sounds less squishy.

I cannot support Annaleigh at all.  All those letters for two short sounds!

You don't have honor a everyone with one little name.

The bolded.  You don't have to use every single name you listed.  I like Anna Jane.
This.  And I also like Anna Jane.  I think Annalise, Annaleigh, and especially Annalisa, are all a bit of a mouthful.
