IUI #1 is a go!

I had my CD 12 appointment with the RE this morning.  The ultrasound showed that I have 4 follies (one at 19mm, one at 23mm, and two around 14 or 15mm).  I'm to take my trigger shot (ovidrel) this evening and the IUI is scheduled for Friday morning.  I know chances are still against us so I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but that's pretty impossible to do.  No real point to this post, I guess, other than to say I'm excited and nervous!  Any feedback or advice on how to get through the next 2 weeks is welcome.

    Good luck!

    Also, we might be cycle buddies as I have a monitoring appointment tomorrow and I'm hoping for a good response!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    FX for you! We're gonna be doing our first IUI cycle with Clomid next cycle. I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

    Good luck! Sounds like a good report. I always get my hopes up, even when I say I won't too. But I figure that the disappointment will be there whether my hopes were up or not, so it doesn't hurt to stay positive in the 2WW.

    I had day 3 monitoring for IUI #1 today and although had some cysts, my estrogen level was low enough that I was cleared to start clomid tonight.

    DS born Jan 2010

    TTC#2 since Nov 2010 with breaks for DH cancer tx (remission!)

    Tube with hydro removed Feb 2013

    BFP 11/11/13 IUI#2 clomid+trigger+prometrium

    Beta #1 14dpIUI=106; Beta #2 16dpIUI=287; Beta #3 20dpIUI=1158

    5w6d 1 hb 109 and 2nd smaller sac; 7w0d 1 hb 125 and confirmed vanishing twin

    DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
    MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

    TTC #2 since 6/2010
    10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
    A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
    DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
    Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
    Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    Thanks everyone for the support.  I just gave myself the shot, which was a little surreal.  Even my husband said that seeing me do that made it somehow more real that this is what we are dealing with.  I know one shot is peanuts compared to what a lot of people go through, I'm not trying to compare, it's just a sign that clearly we need some assistance!  Which is ok.

    @tislay84 - good luck tomorrow!  I'd love for us to be cycle buddies.  I hope you have great numbers!

    @AlmostWright - that's a good way of thinking about it.  I might as well be excited while I can, right?  Having hope is why we're all willing to go through all of this crap.  And good luck to you this cycle.

    Thanks to everyone for the well wishes.  It means a lot to me, really.  I wish everyone the best of luck this cycle as well!
