Thoughts on Autumn Noelle?

So Autumn is what we've been calling her for quite some time and we both love it, we've been struggling to agree on a middle name though, we are choosing 2 middle names for her and so far we've both agreed on the one middle name which is Madeleine, this is his grandmothers name, now I suggested Noelle because my dads middle name is Noel, and iy would mean a lot to me to have significance to him in her name. My SO isn't opposed to it, but he did mention that it might be strange that we have a season name, and that Noelle would mean Christmas.

So what are your thoughts? I am totally in love with Autumn Noelle Madeleine G. Long I know but I do love long names.

Re: Thoughts on Autumn Noelle?

  • I would just swap Madeleine and Noelle so it doesn't sound like Fall Christmas, the flow is actually better that way too.

  • I think it's lovely. Who cares about the fall Christmas thing.

  • It sounds nice together. Noelle doesn't really remind me of Christmas, since I knew a woman growing up that was named Noel. Madeleine is nice too though, should you choose to use that.

I don't know your preferences but I think Audrey Noelle is beautiful too :)
Totally digging Audrey lately lol.. Looks like a lot of A names could work with it though.

  • I think Autumn Noelle Madeleine Lastname is too long of a name. Since you agreed on his grandmother's name first I would tuck Noelle away for possible dd#2 and name this LO Autumn Madeleine.
  • My first thought was Fall Christmas before I opened the thread. Sorry

  • DD's name is Noelle and it was intentional that people think of Christmas! Many people ask if she's born around the holidays but she's a summer baby. I actually love the combo!

  • I think it's cute. Noelle is on my list as a middle name, I'm in love with it. But the season thing doesn't really bother me.. Like someone else said, I don't really think Christmas when I hear Noelle, no matter what the meaning is
  • I love it! Noelle has always been a favorite of mine and I also really like Autumn. I would love to name our child Autumn but our last name starts with an 'A' and I am kind of weird about the first and last name starting with the same initial.

I like Autumn Noelle.  Even though that is the name on the birth certificate, most people would call your daughter Autumn.  And it would probably be only on the birth announcement or later on in life wedding invitation for the full name.

I also liked Taylor Noelle and Caitlin Noelle for girl names when I was thinking about names to name a daughter.

My daughter was born at the end of April.  And her name Noelle is a lovely name.  She has her own unique name.  And actually my grandmother's father last name was Noel, and he was from France.  So there is a good story to go along with the name.

  • I do think of Christmas when I hear Noelle. But honestly how often will you introduce her by first and middle? Its pretty in any season

I love all three names but together I think it's a bit too much. The fall Christmas thing would bother me and the name being soooo long would also. Beautiful names though! Best of luck!
  • The first thing I thought was Fall Christmas. I love both names separately but it's a little weird together. I would go with Autumn Madeleine. Good luck!

  • I would just swap Madeleine and Noelle so it doesn't sound like Fall Christmas, the flow is actually better that way too.
