Glad you started it - I didn't see one either. I agree it's quieter. As someone who had her baby early, it's nice to have more outside babies finally. Makes the board topics more relevant for me... And I find that with the new mobile app I'm not as likely to just pop on since I can't see who started a thread. My guess is that it will be more quiet for awhile and then pick back up after everyone gets in the groove. Still I think there will be fewer overall posters.
Going for night two in the bassinet. Night one went pretty well. I'd rate it a B.
Watching hard knocks cincinatti bengals! Can't wait for football to start. My little one had a different outfit and bib each Sunday she'll be rooting for a different team:-)
It's 8:40 here and I just got LO to sleep. I was dead tired all day and can't seem to fall asleep now. So here I am bumping and watching 21 Jump Street.
Am I the only one with an inside baby that gets nervous everytime I have a gas bubble in my belly, I think it feels like a pop and I wait to see if there is anything leaking? Everytime I feel a gas bubble, I am convinced my water broke.
I also had a talk with my (inside) little one about coming out to meet us.
And... (This is sad!) I can't stop thinking about a duck we ran over today. He was in the road with his friend and neither H nor I saw him until it was too late. I hate that it happened and its weighing on me :-/
Married DH : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat) DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18 FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!
Lo is sleeping in my arms. I can't put him down or he starts screaming. Tummy ache again. Sitting in his room listening to lullabies, snuggling in hopes he poops.
Have you tried bicycling his legs? I read it helps...but I'm a FTM with an Inside baby still so what do I know!

This works for my LO. And massaging her tummy. I always feel so helpless when her tummy hurts.
Baby girl just ate, and fell asleep on my lap. Debating whether I should try to go to bed, or just wait until after her next feeding. Have her jaundice check in the morning. She is still pretty yellow, so keeping my fingers crossed that her bilirubin level isn't too high.

Does anyone else have a constant headache? I'm assuming its from lack of sleep and just getting used to the whole new sleep schedule I'm on now with an outside baby.

Did you have an epi? I have heard that can cause headaches up to several weeks after.

I do. Not sure if it is from dehydration, tired, or (most likely) a hormonal headache. The shifting hormones can give you headaches, along with night sweats.

Oh god, I would be in tears! I hit an opossum one time and cried for a week, and I hate those guys! I love ducks, so I would probably never forgive myself

Headache and night sweats here, too. DS just had his second feeding if the night and is currently asleep with my boob in his mouth. We have newborn photos in the morning. I sure hope they turn out looking good!

I've had headaches more days than not and I'm 17d PP. I called my doc and she said I was way far out of the range of a spinal headache (from the epi) and (pre)eclampsia. She had no words of wisdom for me.
@celticwife Did your pediatrician have you supplement with formula after breast feeding? DS was borderline with jaundice, but was super yellow at his post discharge checkup. The pediatrician had us supplement, and it definitely seemed to help until my milk came in.
The clock struck midnight and I am now 8 days overdue. I hate everyone and everything. I love reading all the birth announcements though.
I'm sad to say my old bmb died after the babies came. There was this mass exodus to FB and people just got busy (obviously).
I like to frequent the 0 to 3 month board a lot after babies come. (Plus I can be found on the toddler boards too). And I'll still pop by here to say hello.
Just put LO down in her crib. She has been fussy this evening so to sure if that's a sign of what's to come. Probably going to bed myself to try and get a head start on some sleep.
The board is quieter. I try and check in as much as I can but I definitely don't have the spare time I used to have for bumping!!!

Nope. Our pedi is a lactivist. (DH's words. Lol) She would never recommend formula unless all other options are used first. I think she is a little extreme about it, but I agree with her on the rest of baby's care.
Oddly, my milk came in yesterday. The first two times it took almost a week. This time, it started day before yesterday. Seriously nasty diapers and engorgement. Blech.

Feeding #1, but I haven't been to bed yet. So.very.tired
I'm pretty sure one of my boys has reflux. He screams non stop, pushes out his legs really stiff, spits up a ton, won't lay flat on his back, etc.
I thought it might be milk protein allergy bc he's super rashy on his face and bum and sounds slightly congested all the time.
Anyone with experience in those two areas? He's a 34weeker and we EBF.
Sounds like bad reflux to me. Take him in for a same-day visit to the pedi tomorrow. And get a RnP for him.

Or genetic escro. I have gotten migranes my hole life so between my eoi and my hormones reregulating themselves my first week home i lived in a state of migranes and migrane hang overs.
I just got bentley down cant believe that in three days hell be a month old!

Lactivist, lol! Gotcha. We just did it for 5 days, and it seemed to help "kick start" things. He became a poop machine, lol. Our pediatrician actually wants us to ebf, but was just worried about his levels and the amount of weight he lost (went from 8lb1oz to 7lb4oz) and the fact that he wasn't pooping that much.
Anyway, I hope you get good news about lo's levels tomorrow!
Ok, I'm going to try and nap since lo is asleep, and dh is snoring away.
I'm timing contractions, and they keep coming, but they don't hurt that bad yet. I kinda feel dumb for timing at this point.
Sometimes it just feels good to "do something" about the contractions. So you aren't dumb for timing them! . Like its possible to think of anything else when they first start....
Changed lo and tried to feed him, but he wasn't hungry. Dh is now trying to get him back to sleep.
He is almost 3 weeks old, and wakes up every two to three hours. So I will be around tonight...
My lo is almost 3 weeks old too, and I am lucky if I get 1.5 hours. Last night I got 2 hours once and that was my sleep for the night. All other feedings were 30-45 minutes apart or lo was crying about pooping.

It's harder to mobile bump with LO in one arm.. And attempting to catch up on sleep. Hopefully this lavender doterra oil helps him chill out and sleep. He slept so much better pre-casts.
LO is asleep in my arms, we are dealing with tummy aches here as well. She's 8 days old and I just now today was able to breast feed instead of feeding her formula (long story) and I'm pretty sure it has upset her tummy. she bawls if I put her down, but won't latch on to eat so Im really confused by it. Seriously though, she was on my lap a bit ago and tooted and Fi looked at me and said excuse you, want me to take her so you can go to the bathroom? We both laughed for a long time when I told him it was her and not me lol..
