Sara Evans "Could Not Ask For More" was our first dance song
Missing Our July Sparkler BFP#1-11/12/12, MMC 1/16/13-baby stopped growing @ 9wks, found out at 13wks, D&E 1/25/13 BFP#2-4/23/13 EDD-01/02/14 baby BOY born 12/31/13 Michael Cameron
Our first dance was to Jason Mraz - I won't give up...we also danced to it this year on our anniversary when we were on our honeymoon/anniversary trip -- on a private beach just H and I on a cliff!
We also had a lot of 90's hip hop at the end which was a lot of fun! haha
My first dance was to The humors of Gendart/Ingenish/ by the Tossers. My husband choreographed it as an Irish dance and we performed it together. Neat fact, a version of this song is used in the wedding scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
This is NOT my video I do not know the people in this video, but it's the only one on youtube that has the correct version.
We walked in to Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars, and our first dance was Better Together by Jack Johnson. (I got run over by a horse at work the day after our first date, so I spent a week at my parents fairly drugged up. He came to visit and we watched Curious George because the only movies they had were by 4yr old nephew's!)
We danced to Every Day by Rascal Flatts. We did a couple of turns, lifts and dips.
My friends, sisters, and mother and I did a surprise dance for my husband. I decided to post it here, while on the topic of wedding dances. Maybe some who asked to see it will happen to stop by this thread.
I designed signs and had them printed to tell our story. Sometimes you can't see the signs, so I put notes on the video. There are two things that are helpful to understand the dance -- first, the person who enters at 1:35ish is my mother. Second, there are a bunch of us who were dancers for a professional soccer team. Our dance team name was Rhinestones. So there's a line at the end "I don't mean rhinestones," which makes more sense if you know that info ahead of time. Most of the people at our wedding knew that.
(I only wish I had practiced in my dress and shoes ahead of time. I put on ballroom shoes that were 1 inch shorter than my normal wedding shoes, and it made my dress too long, haha.)
Ours was Bright Eyes "First Day of My Life" The lyrics were just so perfect and the song is beautiful. We liked that is wasn't super slow and it's upbeat. Listen to it! I cry every time I do lol
We walked into the reception to "Back In Black" by ACDC.
We walked out of the church to "Crazy In Love" by Beyoncé.
And we had live piano music for my bridesmaid's and my entrance, but the bridesmaids came into "Jessica's Theme" from "Man From Snowy River" and I walked in to "The Homecoming".

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
The wedding Party danced to "Save The Last Dance for Me" by Michael Buble. (We switched partners until we ended up together at the very end)
To get everyone on the dance floor, we had everyone doing the Dollar Wine!
And most of the night, we played Salsa, Bachata, Samba & traditional Portuguese music. (I'm a salsa dancer, H was not, but about 75% of our guests were dancers!!
Oh yeah, and I walked down the aisle to an acoustic guitar version of At Last. My uncle played it. The bridesmaids walked in to an acoustical guitar/solo vocalist version of No Day But Today. We walked out of the church to Linus & Lucy, the Peanuts theme song -- on the piano of course. We skipped actually, haha.
Our ceremony music was one of my favorite parts of our wedding.

Fun! Even if you don't exactly know what you're doing, you can certainly get your groove on with that kind of music.
We didn't have a dance at our wedding and therefore don't have a "song". DH and my family have vastly different taste in music and I didn't want to play middle man trying to create a playlist. Yes, I took the lazy way out!
Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here reminds me of the time we were dating since most of it was spent long distance.
The ringtone on my phone for DH is now The Toadies Possum Kingdom - the part that says, I will treat you well, my sweet angel, so help me Jesus. Give it up to me, Give it up to me, etc. And yes, the creepy factor is not lost on me! It is kinda a joke from when we were dating that he tried playing it off as a romantic song after us discussing the fact that rock/grunge music does not have any love songs. (another reason we don't have a "song" - and of course he now listens to heavy metal which is even more devoid of romance)
Jason Mraz's "Lucky" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acvIVA9-FMQ DH picked it--and did a great job, since Jason Mraz is one of my favorites! He bought the CD (this was right when it first came out) and said he'd already listened to it and really liked that song.
I walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of Everlong by Foo Fighters played by H's uncle. We entered our reception to let's get married by jagged edge!

Our first dance was Allison Krauss "When You Say Nothing At All", although DH's cousin sang it.
We also used George Winston's "Linus and Lucy" (think Peanut's theme song) as our recessional.
When I got remarried, we eloped in a private ceremony. No first dance, but we kind of consider 'Cruise' to be our song.

That was an amazingly cute dance! I loved the mix of songs too. You did an awesome putting that together and are one talented dancer!
Going back to the previous thread, I would definitely charge to put together a dance routine like that

We walked away from the aisle to the Star Wars theme tune.
Our first dance was to As by Stevie Wonder.
Thanks for this.....I absolutely loved my wedding, no better way to start a Monday than by reliving it for a moment!
You are so sweet, @rinny85.
And thank you, @ccip82 -- although I felt a bit awkward because of the shoe/dress problem. Not to mention the fact that I wasn't wearing a bra, lol.
