I'm most looking forward to nursing again.

This is the one thing that I look forward to most with all the babies. That quiet time of just sitting when things are crazy but you have to just be still is so nice and are my fondest memories. Of course in the first week/10days I still scrunch my toes at the first latch and wince for 10 sec still it stops but that always ends and I know for the next year, I alone get this bonding time.

We were visiting a friend with a new baby and I was actually a little jealous when she started nursing! I just stopped nursing DD about a month and a half ago and I really loved it. I just love how content and satisfied babies are when they nurse - that feeling when they latch and are like oh, this is exactly what I needed. Definitely looking forward to that part again! It's actually the only part if parenting a newborn I enjoy

I'm looking forward to it, too! But I'm scared about nursing while chasing a 2 year old around... I'm guessing it won't be quite so peaceful this time.

This is one of the things I am most excited for. DD weaned early and I cried and cried. I absolutely loved it, after the first week or two! I cannot wait to do it again and this time I plan to go longer. I actually look forward to the quiet middle of the night feedings.

I'm looking forward to nursing a little baby again too...one of my fav things was when my son would be so anxious to nurse he would ball up his fists and by the end of the session his whole body would be limp and he would be passed out. It was so so sweet!!

I nursed my daughter for 16 months, and only quit when I went on medication and I saw it affecting her. We both cried. Lots. My sister despises nursing and bottle fed her two month old right from the hospital. I never understood it. They're financially strapped for one thing and secondly, her baby has had lots of digestive issues, poor thing. Anyway, I realized when my daughter said that she can't wait to help feed the baby that she's never seen anyone nurse. She thinks we are bottle feeding - lol.

I told her that I don't feed my babies the way auntie does and she dropped it but it'll be an interesting conversation to have with her. She refused bottles of any kind her whole infancy, so pumping was pointless for me. Hopefully this one is at least different in that regard so she can help occasionally.

Another UO that goes with this? I never minded getting up at night to nurse. I did it 3 times a night for a year, never napped during the day, and it never bothered me. I hate when people say, "oh get ready to never sleep again!" It really wasn't that bad for me.

I love nursing as well. My DD is 19 months and still nursing. I'm interested to see if she quits before the new baby comes and how she handles sharing her milk if not.

I'm a FTM and am a bit nervous about nursing, to be honest. I know it'll be a wonderful time to bond, etc. I guess I'm just a little anxious about pain, if i'll actually be able to (what if I have supply issues).. I don't like what ifs and I can think of quite a few. Gotta let go of control haha.

I still nurse my 18 month old as well, we will see how it goes for him if he ends up having to share.

@theluckiest9 don't worry it's totally normal to have all those questions. I know I did. Find a good support system be it a trained lactation consultant or your local La Leche League they are very helpful.

I'm still nursing DD twice a day and hope my supply holds up until the end of the year. I will miss nursing her so much and it's hard to think about nursing a new baby. Part of the mom guilt, I guess.

DD did not latch and after a fourth degree tear healing was horrible and it was very hard for us. We quit around 2 months an I hated myself for it! I know soooo much more now and I made my husband promise not to let me give up this time. I'm looking forward to nursing and I know with hard work this time it will be successful.

I don't miss it because I'm actually still nursing my son. I'm a bit worried because we still use the boppy, and I'm not sure how he'll react to a new baby on "his" boppy.

I loved nursing DD and we continued for 21 months. I don't really miss it through. She never took a bottle and it was nice to "have my body back" so to speak.
That said, I'm a huge BF advocate and plan to nurse this one for a long time as well.
