Where can we go for a weekend getaway?

DH has an unexpected day off next Fri and we were hoping to go away with the kids for a long weekend. We would like someplace relaxing that is no more than a 1-2 hour drive. We love the Jersey shore but it can be hard to get a weekend rental there last minute. Any ideas? TIA!

    Atlantic City, NJ   or Ocean City, Maryland 

    I love boardwalks and beaches so those are my fav places

    I love going to Hershey Park in PA, not a far drive but a good time. If you want beach I would have to second Ocean City Maryland, it's further out but a great place for kids and parents plus some yummy crabs!

    Mohonk mountain house in New Paltz is really amazing but unfortunately expensive. (Meals included though).
