Is there any way to block photos you post from being 'shared' by a friend?

Every picture I put on FB my MIL shares. It makes me crazy and I'm hoping to just find a way to keep her from doing it, rather than asking her not to because I know she'll get bent out of shape over it. Thanks!

I don't know, but if you find out let me know because my aunt and Dad do this all of the time and it gets on my nerves!

Also, does anyone know how to make it so if you comment or like someone's stuff it doesn't show up in other people's newsfeeds? I RSVP'd that I was going to an event and made a comment and my MOM commented after me (was not 'invited' to the event) about how much fun it sounded. WTH? She also is always saying how she saw so and so's picture because I commented on it. Why does that happen?

I don't know why they feel the need to do that! As to comments that your mom sees about other people's pictures, I *think* that has to do with the other person's privacy settings.

I would love to know this as well. MIL is always sharing mine and it drives me nuts. She would also get upset over it if I point blank asked her not to. I'm trying to pick my battles with her so I'm trying to let this one go, but blocking would solve that issue!

So far as I know you can't stop it. I have looked a ton. The only way would be to make your settings so that MIL can't see the photo. IMO FB needs to fix this for tighter security.

@kmc84 - When you post a picture I think you can choose which friends can see the picture. I haven't done it but I have been tempted. Maybe we can start a campaign to get FB to change the settings so friends can't share pics.

It's worth a try! Next time I'll see what happens. Thanks for the tip! The next time I'm on a computer I'll send an email or whatnot to the powers that be!

I thought there was a way to make it so you are notified when someone tries to share something from your wall......I am not 100% sure though because my problem was that DH's extended family tries tagging themselves in all of my picture and I know you can make it so you have to approve the tags first. That always irritated me so much, I mean the person isn't "in" my picture why are they trying to tag themselves?! I wound up getting so irritated by the whole thing that I rarely post pictures of DS on there at all. I set up a private shutterfly website which I am sure no one goes to but I couldn't deal with the stress of FB any longer.
