Just got the call from my doctor's office. I failed the 2-hour and have been diagnosed. I had GD with my son, so this is all familiar to me... just trying to refresh my memory so I can go do the grocery store and stock up on foods I can actually eat.
Any great snacks that you've discovered?
Re: Looks like I found the GD mecca... intro!
Things I always have on hand:
Vitamuffins
Luna Bars
String Cheese
Peanut Butter and Almond Butter
Crackers
Whole grain bread
HIgh fiber fruits like oranges and apples
Easy to grab meals like Amy's freezer meals
Milk
I also make a low-carb cheesecake that I make, slice into servings and freeze. It comes in handy when I need a little indulgence and it fits within the carb/protein counts of my snacks.
