Poll- How many kids for you?

Re: Poll- How many kids for you?

  • I'm not ready to get my tubes tied during my RCS, but I'm thinking we'll be done after this baby. I just turned 31 so I feel I should wait until I'm certain we're done before doing anything permanent.

  • This is my first, and since its a boy, I would like to try again for a girl in a couple years. I originally wanted 3, hopefully two girls and a boy, but this pregnancy has been so tough for me, I don't know if I can do it two more times. However, I do want a girl, so I will try again. If it turns out to be another boy, I may or may not try a third time.
  • This #4 for us and our last biological child, since I will have ny tubes tied during the RCS.
I'll be 39 and H 47 when this one is born, so age-wise, we're done.
I say bio because my heart really reaches toward adoption and fostering, but he is not in the same place. Who knows what can change.

    We've had 4 losses, and I don't know if I'd have had 8 children... Always wanted 4.
So for now, 4 and done after this one.

    Girl #1 (2/1/03); Girl #2 (8/4/08); MC (2/28/07); MC (10/16/07); Girl #3 (7/21/08); MC (12/8/10); MC (9/5/12); Baby EDD (12/5/13).
  • We were lucky with this one, but we would like a second if we are lucky enough for it to happen twice.
  • This is our 3rd. I know DH doesn't want any more(he worries about $), but it makes me sad to think this will be our last. Of course DH tells me I would feel that way no matter how many kids we have, which is probably true! So we will see. I love the idea of a big family!

  • One and done for us. We get a lot of push back from people when we tell them we only want one (people think we're being "selfish" not giving the baby a sibling). We really don't care about other people's opinions though, we're going to do what works best for us regardless. We're the parents, not them.

  • Our DD is 10 & baby #2 will be here when she turns 11. It took us many years to get pregnant with #2 so idk if we'll have anymore. DH wants a 3rd but idk yet.
  • This is #3. We always said we wanted 3 or 4. I think we'll try for a fourth, but it won't be any time soon. Three kids under the age of four is going to be enough to keep me busy for several years.

  • We are done at 2 after this baby.  Neither DH or I want more.  I really don't think I could mentally handle another pregnancy.  I also wanted to be done having children before 35 and I am currently 33.  Also, if we stop at 2 we will be able to continue our current lifestyle with only minor modifications.  2 is the magic number for us.  The only time I judge people for having multiple children is if they are unable to provide and care for them (malnourished, unstable shelter, neglect, abuse, etc).
  • I come from a very large family and the thought of not having many siblings for my children makes me sad. Sisters and brothers become such a large part of your life as you grow. Also, I want more than 2 and I don't want a middle child, so... 4! Perfect number!

  • Undecided. Definitely not over 2. I was the third child and I have some issues with it. Personal baggage here. I was alot younger than my siblings and we have an "eh" relationship. I cannot imagine having 4. We shall see!
  • This pregnancy is our second, the third will be adopted.
  • I vote three. After my second I had alot of hormonal issues along with other things and was told it would be a long shot for me to have a third. SO really wanted a child of his own, but was more than accepting of my two boys and decided he would be OK with not having one of his own if that's how things were. We were still careful-ish and a vacation combined with alcohol apparently fixed me right up and here we are! So all in all, we feel blessed to get this far.
