Extreme Thirst and other Symptoms

edited August 2013 in Trying to Get Pregnant
im about 9-10DPO and have had EXTREME thirst since monday. I'm not due for AF til the 20th, but never have I had this symptom before AF. I normally have issues drinking 32oz of water and lately I've been filling up my 32oz cup at least 7-8 times a day.

Ive also had waves of Nausea off and on since 5DPO
Sleepiness and trouble sleeping since 7 DPO
My boobs have the Blue veins on them since 7 DPO

I'm pretty sure i implanted yesterday due to cramping/pinching on my right side yesterday at 9DPO

I took a test yesterday morning and BFN, but with my twins i didn't find out til 13DPO so plan on testing again on monday/tuesday

Anyone have anything like this?

  • where would i find that? Everytime i post on a board im being sent somewhere else, and its getting annoying.

  • Loading the player...
  • Ive been reading on several sites that Thirst can also be a pregnancy symptom, i know im not diabetic.

  • I thought thirst like that was a sign of diabetes.
    That was my first thought.

  • I've been burping all day and having waves of nausea too!!!  It's probably because I ate bbq chips with ranch dip last night, but totes FX for BFP!

However, as a serious response, if you truly think that you felt implantation at 9dpo, then all of your other symptoms are not pregnancy related because they happened prior to that.  And, for the (broken) record, if you're pregnant enough to have symptoms, you should be able to turn a test positive.

Whoa there now... You only posted to the April 2014 board where they nicely directed you to the TTGP board. No reason to get annoyed about that.

Oh, it is disgusting.  Sometimes I just come up with weird combos that I want to taste.  DH says that when I get pregnant I'll just eat like a normal person.

If you are seriously filling up a 32oz cup 8 times, you're drinking two fucking gallons a water a day.

If you aren't embellishing your story, you need to call a doctor like, now.

I try to drink a gallon a day, and I struggle to do that, but I exercise a lot and need that much water.

  • Maybe the nausea is from drinking so much water. 7-8 32 oz servings? That's a lot of fucking water especially if you're drinking it quickly.

I have the Blue veins on my boobs quite often, since I'm fair skinned. Actually, sometimes I'll get this CRAZY HUGE one on my boob. Seriously, it's so angry looking.

I just looked down my shirt to see if it was there, and nope, not today.

Also, why is the quote trees not working right?

When I was in high school mine were bad.  I had to wear undershirts because if I wore a light colored shirt you could see these two veins through my fucking shirt.  So annoying.

And about the quote trees, I've noticed that it occasionally takes me to a new page to reply.  If it does this, the quote will ALWAYS be fucked up.  If you go back and try again and it lets you reply at the bottom it will work.

  • Yep, I had all these symptoms starting at 6DPO this past cycle. Turns out AF was just announcing her arrival in an unusually big way. I'm now on CD2. Progesterone is sneaky.

  • If you are drinking 2 gallons of water then you shoukd be concerned and call a dr. Did you know drinking that much water can cause you to be dehydrated AND drowning at the same time? You are dehydrated because you are peeing constantly and you are drowning because you are drinking so much water it is backing into your lungs...crazy.

In the same thought are you drinking water or juice/pop? Would it happen to be hot where you are?

  • Do you chart/temp to know your actual O day?  Like PPs said, if you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you are pregnant enough to turn a test postive.  POAS with FMU tomorrow.

Also, I've never heard of extreme thirst as a symptom of pregnancy.  Diabetes?  Sure.

  • Actually I was searching google and this thread came up so yea I also had a little look around (apparently this doesn't comply with the batshit crazy rules you guys have) and was extremely shocked at what I read.

Did you ever stop to think that for some of us it's not as simple as having more sex with our partners? That we have medical issues preventing us from getting pregnant? I think your comment was pretty mean and uncalled for.

Oh, and thanks for the have more sex advice. It's been working for us real well as you can see.
  • I came on here for some advice on trying to conceive as our first baby was an accident so Iv got no idea about actually planning a baby. A google search directed me to this page (I had no idea how old the post was) and after reading the comments I felt the need to say something. Iv only been here a day and I understand the logic behind some of the responses but I feel the delivery needs some work. I have come to realise this place is not for me as I can't help but respond to a bunch of silly keyboard warriors so cya ladies! Side note: I'm not a generally nasty person (not that anyone's gunna believe me) so I do wish you all well with your BFPs I will apologise for the "have more sex" comment as I do know it can be a real struggle.
  • Actually @fuzzylogic yes I would. If I felt the need whether on the Internet or in real life I will always stand up for myself and any others who are getting railroaded.
  • Diabetes isn't really a thing to joke over :/ I live with 3 insulin injections per day.. (Just sayin)
