recommend your winter jacket

in Toddlers: 24 Months+
For those of you that have a harsh winter like we do in Boston, what brand of jacket do you buy for your LO. I am looking for my son. He had a used LLBean one last year that did the trick. Just looking for opinions on others. It is prob. worth spending the extra money for something nice.

    North face perrito jacket.
    I like that its not a bulky jacket so I can put it in the carseat without making straps bigger. But warm enough.
    For really cold days when they play outside for longer they wear snowsuits anyway.

    For every day use in the car I just use a fleece, toss a blanket over him and warm the car up.  I usually buy him a 3-in-1 coat so that I can use the entire thing for days he goes out to play and I can also send the outer layer to daycare for the same purpose.

    We have a thick North Face fleece jacket that is nice and warm, has a hood, is reversible, and is still thin enough to keep on while strapped in the carseat. I love it. We had one last year as well and it was well worth the money.

    I usually get the 3-in-1 jackets and they wear the inner layer for every day wear, then add the outer layer for playing outside or throw it on once they are out of the car seat on really bitter days.

    As fast as they grow at this age, I've had good luck finding nice coats at the consignment shop. That way when they outgrow them the next year I'm not out a ton of money!
