What's your "hill to die on?"

I was lurking a thread where someone said NIP was their hill to die on. It made me realize I literally have no parenting hills to die on. I mean, I do things that I believe are the right things to do as a parent and I definitely judge some things other people do, but I have nothing that rises to die on hill status. In general life, I guess my only real one is gay marriage. I think it's right and anti-gays are dead wrong and I will die on that hill. But nothing related to parenting. What about everyone else?

What's NIP? I thought I had parenting things I felt strongly about. Now I don't care about what anyone does.

As for non-parenting issues, I stand firm on my views on education, especially science education. For example, I'm pro-evolution and think schools teaching anything else are doing a disservice to the future generation.

Parenting wise? Nothing. As long as you love your kid, are not abusive, and you are trying your best, I try not to judge. As a school psychologist, one thing that is always pounded into our heads is that most parents make the decisions they do because they think that is what is best for their child. They may be misinformed, they may need help, and often do not have the tools at their disposal to do things the way I would.

Sorry, yes, nursing in public. I mean, I want woman to feel free to do it, but I just don't feel soap boxy about it. But, I forgot about vaccines. In hindsight, I would die on that hill.

i don't think i have one. i contradict myself too often. i can usually see valid points on both sides of the argument. i am pretty passionate about breastfeeding, but i don't think formula is the devil, like a lot of lactivists.

As for an actual answer-- I don't really have a "hill to die on" for others when it comes to parenting. For me personally-- at this point in my life I am going to say that I will never let DD sleep in bed with me/ us. She never has and never will (so I say right now). It's not for me. I DGAF if other people let their kids sleep in bed with them though.
