BFing moms and Period

I don't know if it is low supply or taste change but DS fusses and nurses a lot different when I get my period (this is number 3 since PP). He latches and lets go while whining. I feel bad for him. When I hand express, my milk sprays out so I don't think it is supply but I'm not sure. My boobs don't feel real heavy. What would you do? He hasn't taken a bottle well because he is with me all the time and I guess we don't offer it enough. But I do have a freezer stash from pumping to get my supply up when he was first born so I guess I could offer him a bottle. Should I call lactation and see what they say? Also I just bought mothers milk tea and started drinking a glass a day. If it is a taste change I guess the tea wouldn't be a help though. Thanks for any input!

    The taste change lasts for about 2 days for me. I wouldn't sweat it, really, just offer to feed more often if you think it could be supply. I mean, if he's really really fussy all day try a bottle or something, but I figure nursing moms have had their periods forever and babies adapt and do fine. And calling lactation can't hurt! If you do, let us know what they say. ;-)
