Late December Check In!

What's going on, late December ladies? Who's left on the waiting for a/s list? Anything exciting happening?

We finally had our a/s last week. For now, we're Team Green because we can't make up our mind if we want to know or not. So our baby's gender is written on a piece of paper locked away in the gun safe in case we decide to know. We're almost a week in with no peeking! We might just make it to December (or at least September). But more importantly, everything was great with LO and DH finally got to see he/she moving around on the ultrasound. The last u/s I had was a last minute one because of spotting so he hadn't seen peanut since 6 weeks.

And because one day I just wanted to be organized, here's our list of late December check-in's. Let me know if I missed any of you or got them wrong:

It's a good idea. Good for when you get the end too to figure out who is still left to have the baby.

I finally had my ultrasound on Monday .... It's a girl! She is estimated to be all of 12 ounces and looks healthy. We are so excited! Now to decide on a name for her...

It's a good idea. Good for when you get the end too to figure out who is still left to have the baby.

Maybe we should give "prize" badges to the first and last ladies of the month to give birth. haha

Hey! Good luck not peeking! I couldn't have went a day

My due date is still 12/23 and we are having a girl!!

I have to go for another A/S on 9/11 because they couldn't get measurements of the spine or the heart because of her position. We almost didn't find out she was a girl for the same reason lol.

I'm so excited for this check in! I can officially announce we are team pink! We are so excited to have a little girl especially my inlaws since they have a family of boys!

At our A/S everything measured perfect but then got a call the next day that we have placental insufficiency which is a little nerve wracking but as a FTM I'm trying to keep my cool and just wait until we have an appointment with the perinatologist we were referred to. I guess on the bright side I can kind of look forward to extra ultrasounds to see our LO.

On the super plus side DH has started feeling her kick which he is ecstatic about!

We have decided on the name Emma Katherine!

Good for you not peaking, natleilynn! I am so impatient I could never be team green but I think it would be fun if I could. DH felt his daughter kick for the first time a few days ago. The look on his face was priceless - pure joy! I'm currently sitting here at an urgent care place hoping they can give me something for a really bad upper back spasm. Injuries are tough when you're pregnant because you can't take much for it. But I'm so miserable I figured the doc was worth a shot!

I'm impressed you haven't peeked as well!

I'm due December 29th and we are team green! We had our a/s last week and we stayed strong! The baby also wasn't giving up the goods so he/she is on board with our plan as well! I'm also starting to feel the baby a few times a day so that's exciting as well!

We finally had our A/S Friday and baby looks great! Also my mommy instincts where right and we are having a girl :x ! I'm still waiting to pop and feel some movement but after reading the discomfort some of the other women are in I'm totally ok with waiting a little longer!

That is awesome that you and your H are waiting on opening the envelope. I wouldn't have been able to be team green because first off I am impatient and second I saw this baby's penis when she was getting the femur measurements. I feel so much relief after the a/s showed a healthy baby.

I had my A/S last week too. I don't have the info in my siggy because I'm always on mobile and don't know how to do a siggy. Anyway I'm due Dec 27 which is DHs b-day and we are team boy. I am so impressed by your self control. DH would come home to find the paper open on the table and me takin a nap lol

@NYMama1 - I swear I saw a weiner in the ultrasound. But DH swears he didn't. So one of us is right!!!

A/S is Friday, so no news on that front but since we're team green it's not all that for us as long as TBD is healthy! I'm finally feeling movements and I'm having regular BH's - two weeks later then last time for both, which is funny since I had an AP both times.

All of December is officially over the 20wk hump!!

Finally had my A/S on Monday.....first appt that DH got to attend. I thought he would be super excited, but he was really nervous, poor guy. Baby wasn't very active during the U/S, so I think that made him more nervous. All seems to be well though, and we got lots of printed pictures. Still Team Green.

Still haven't felt any movement/kicks, and it's starting to get a little depressing.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm missing nerve endings around my uterus.

We had our anatomy scan last Thursday - everything looks great with our baby GIRL! Lauren is measuring two days behind, which doesn't change the due date of 12/31, and weighed 9 ounces.

The tech did find a "placental lake" which could indicate a possibility of growth retardation and/or placental issues later in the pregnancy, but my doctor didn't comment on it when he left his voicemail later that day. When I have my next appointment next week, I plan to ask about this...

Hi! Excited to see this check in! I've been MIA lately due to the world's longest family vacation but I do lurk on mobile as much as possible.

We had our A/S on 8/2 the day before we left. We asked not to be told the sex so that we could save it for a small family reveal party but the tech slipped up and not only said "he" at the end of the appointment but also printed us out a 3D pic that very clearly showed us it was a boy! I was heartbroken when my MIL pointed it out - I was really excited for the surprise at the reveal. Either way, we are team blue!

Also - he is measuring in the 95th pctile. As a 10 lb baby myself this worries me a little! Not looking forward to delivery.

Now we just need a name. DH is totally useless and the most I can get from him is either "not bad" or "not my favorite". Arg.

Hey! I'm due on 12/22 but will probably have the baby the week before because I am having a RCS. Our A/S was on Monday and everything looked great. We are still on team blue

They commented on how long his leg and arm bones were and I am not surprised. DS was 23" long and he was born at 38 weeks. Looks like we might have another long baby.

Thank you for putting this list together @natleilynn!! Very cool! Not too much new stuff here. I was excited to hit the 20 week point this past Sunday, and feeling baby boy's first kick on Thursday evening was awesome. Glad to hear everyone is doing well!

Our a/s is on Friday. Fingers crossed she is still a girl. DH might also get to come! He is a mechanic and it kinda just depends how his day is going. Starting to get really nervous, as I was high risk with my DS and then had a misscarriage two years ago on Friday. So Friday will be a bitter sweet day for me.

Wow! Your strong for not peeking. I was so anxious to find out.

Had our a/s on friday. Everything looked great which was such a relief. Good luck being team green. This is my third time doing it and I love it.

Just had our 20 week appointment and Doc said baby is perfect! Measuring 3 days ahead but I'm measuring behind... Not really sure if its an issue? Ready to bring on the school year! Hope these 4 months fly!

Hello! We finally had our 20 week ultrasound today! The baby was a little stinker and moving so much it took forever to get measurements. So amazing to see your baby! Ultrasound measured at 21 weeks though. Staying team green still and finally starting to feel more flutters and little kicks

I think it is awesome that you have made it a whole week without peeking! Ours was in a safe too and we were waiting but we gave in and looked on my birthday lol but I have to say it was an exciting thing to open for a birthday gift!

Just got home from my A/S. It took over 40 min for the tech to measure everything she needed because of our wiggle monster, but it was very obvious that we are now Team Pink!
