Convertible inexpensive carseat

Suggestions for an inexpensive grandma carseat for a very tiny Toyota Cruz! Thanks!

Re: Convertible inexpensive carseat

  • My parents got a Safety 1st one from Costco for like $89 and it does great for my tall DD, it even has a cupholder with it.

  • Safety 1st Guide 65...under $80 at Walmart. I bought one for DH and one for my mom. Fits great RF in a small 3 series BMW.

This is what we got for my MIL who watches DS two days a week but rarely goes anywhere in the car with him. It's just as safe as the Britax we have in our cars probably just not as comfy for a long car ride which is not necessary for MIL anyway.

Edit: also it's recommended in baby bargains as a grandparent carseat.

Trade out the Scenera suggestion for the Apt, not much more $$ wise but lasts longer. Or the Evenflo Sureride. About $80 and lasts both rf and ff much longer than most budget seats. And grandparent friendly.

I keep forgetting about the Apt!  That thing has a super tall shell.  Worth the extra $$$
