Mucus plug

Well this might be TMI but I started losing my mucus plug after having sex with my honey in the the shower. I have now had slight cramping and pressure for about an hour or so. Should I be expecting to go to into labor soon or am I just being paranoid? My hubby is worried about me I keep telling him to keep calm.

You can loose your plug and still be weeks away from labor. But good luck.i hope this is it for you.
  • Maybe, maybe not.

  • I know I've seen some stuff online about losing it early and nothing happening... :/ it might just be wishful thinking but only for about the past 2 or 3 days have I been feeling different. Up until Saturday I felt normal... No Braxton hicks, no cramping, no pressure...
  • You may, you may not. Hurry up and wait is the general answer w/ mucus plugs.

  • Impossible to say. You can loose your MP multiple times during a pregnancy. (It can regenerate.)

The contractions sound promising, but you can have them for weeks before delivery.

Sorry I can't be more encouraging, but there is no sign you can have that says labor is near. Short of actually being in labor, of course.

Does it even matter? Baby will come when baby comes.
  • Well miss Californiadream you don't have to be such a bitch. It's a forum and I can ask what ever I want... If you don't like it ignore it. Seriously your attitude is horrible hope you don't treat your kids like that.

Congrats on the sex and the vagina booger.

Why would anyone think that's TMI? Lol.

Could be soon. When is your due date? When I lost mine with DS1 I went into labor the next day. My friend lost hers two weeks before she delivered. So it's hard to say!

    GL!

  • Thank you bluejewel :) I don't know I'm a first time mom kind of new to everything. I'm due the 23rd and I'm so anxious to have my little guy!
  • Ya since everything on google is true..... Ha what a joke... Go away I don't want your input
  • Also why is your hubby worried?

Your due date is approaching and if you did lose your plug its a very normal, natural thing. So is feeling different the days leading up to labor.

Your body is going through some major stuff right now and the due date has probably been on the calendar for a while...no need to worry! Tell him to calm down. You will need him at his best if this is time!

Considering this is like the 98766267384th post like this where everyone thinks some magic event happens that says the minutes until the baby falls out, I expected some rough stuff. I kinda felt bad for OP for having to ask Internet strangers these questions. Then I remembered there was no IQ requirement for pregnancy.

LMAO! But wait!! She can't trust google to tell her if she's in labor only Internet strangers that she has NEVER had interaction with.

Seriously, think these things through. If you're relying on ANYONE but your healthcare provider to say if you're in labor or not.... you need your head examined. I understand asking about specific things or experiences, but OP wants to know if she's in labor. Why do people assume anyone can know that?!?

You probably shouldn't post on a board full of strangers if you don't want the feedback. You can't dictate the board so therefore she can say what she wants. Btw, the quote button is your friend.

The funny part is she thinks a) she has any control over that and b) that we give a damn.

Op, your post also annoyed me, but at least you didn't call this a blog.

Oh, and you forgot to say you felt bad for her dh, too.

@californiadream87, I was thinking the same thing.

Doesn't really work that way. If you don't want the comments, good or bad, you probably shouldn't post. This is not a puppies and rainbows board and no one is going to blow glitter up your ass.
