Here's how to get your tickers/badges to actually work!

I have been trying to get a ticker to work on my signature for the past couple weeks and it has been so frustrating! The directions in the main help menu wouldn’t work AT ALL. In case anyone else has been struggling like I was, here is how you do it:

1. When you log on, you are going to go to the top-right section of the page. Look for four little icons below the brown heading and the word “Community”

2. Click on the far right option that looks like a person. If you hover over it, it says “Account Options”

3. Once you click it, the pop-up menu only has one option: “Preferences”

4. On the left-hand side go to the text that says “Signature Settings”

5. In a separate browser window, go find the ticker or badge you want to use.

6. Right-click on the PICTURE that is displayed after you enter your information into the ticker. DO NOT select the HTML code (that is what tripped me up!). Select “Copy” from the pop-up menu that appears when you right-click on the picture.

7. Go back to “Signature Settings” and right-click to paste into the white area. The picture of what you just found will appear.

8. Add as many tickers/badges as you want!

9. Make sure you click “Save” when you are done editing (I only had to click it once and it worked perfect!)

10. Go to any of your previous posts (or reply to this thread) and VOILA!

Hopefully this helps anyone who was struggling like I was.

It should change on its own when you copy and paste. Mine does.

THANK YOU!!! I've always hated the signature setting thing...never worked the way I wanted it too. I finally got rid of the enormous pictures that were popping up on every reply. I felt awful people had to scroll through those dang things hahah.

Can't seem to figure this out. When I hover over the Community, nothing happens. I can get to the Avatar/Signature page though by clicking My Account and then Change My Avatar, so I put the URL in the white box and then click save, but nothing happens.

Also, what should the code look like, I read that I'm not supposed to use the HTML, but the ticker gives me code options that is supposed to be for message boards, which has the [url=https://www.TickerFactory.com/]

or just the plain URL... so which am I supposed to use?

@happyturtle03 - You will need to click on the icon of the person on the far right under the word community, from there you will be able to access the information you need. You don't use code at all, you will copy the picture that is generated by the ticker program into your signature (right-click on the picture to do this). It seems silly but the ticker does update doing it this way.

Yeah, that's the problem I'm having too, there aren't any icons there at all. Everything looks totally different than it's being described.

Thanks anyway though! I'm not the most tech savvy, so probably user error

I'm not terribly set on having it, just thought it was cute.

Hmm, I am sorry then, not sure why you aren't seeing the same thing I am. If you can access your signature settings by going to "My Account" on the left, try copying and pasting the picture there and saving multiple times. If that doesn't work, I have no idea what to try.

OH! Ok, figured out why I couldn't find the icons and things were looking so different! I kept going back to the home page, not realizing I was supposed to start from the message boards, so finally I happened to see the icons at the top, which usually I scroll past those before I noticed them. Thanks, finally got it to work, I think
