I might be a minority here but I'm so thankful it's football preseason!!!! I love having my house filled with friends watching the game. Makes me so happy. And I'm thankful we actually have a strong, good team this year muahah!
ETA: super thankful, too, that we won our first game last night. Yea!
You're not the only one! Although I have to say GO FALCONS instead!
My husband is a huge Seahawks fan! And Huskies; he went to UW. I'm thankful for our healthcare. If my husband wasn't military im not sure what we would do to afford all our testing, labs, and medication.

I'm thankful I scheduled a massage for tomorrow. I feel like I'm carrying my stress and sadness around in my body. It's some sort of Thai/Swedish combination massage, so I'm hoping to get all stretched out and loosened up. I've been wanting to go to this place for a while but MH can only be persuaded to go to a fancy spa and this one's in a strip mall. But I've only heard very good things about it, and although I feel bad about getting a massage while he's at work, I don't feel TOO bad.
I'm beyond thankful for my DS, he's been my light through some very dark times. And I'm extra thankful that he's started babbling more lately, like a LOT more. (Background: He's severely speech delayed and has been classified as 'at risk' for being autistic. Him heading towards talking is HUGE)

Definitely not a minority! Football means fall and pumpkin coffee are right around the corner so I'm thankful for that! Go Eagles!

As a Giants fan I cannot comment on the "Go Eagles!" portion of your post, but, I will say, I 100% completely, desperately, need fall to arrive as soon as possible. I need comfortable sweaters, pants, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin everything, apple everything, fires, warmth, scarves, deep jewel tones... Sadly, I need to see the seasons change, the leaves change colors and fall, and prepare for life to start a new.

@MrsDeo So glad you're getting a massage. It is definitely therapeutic ! I am biased as I am learning Swedish massage right now.
@VCGolfNYC I was so happy when July 2013 ended. In addition to our loss, my close friends little sister died of what appears to be drug side effect as all toxicology reports are coming up clean. i used to live with his sisters in my late teens. I will forever refer to it as the month of hell.
I am looking forward to the fall. I love the smell in the air. I also have this awesome gluten free pumpkin recipe I'm just waiting to try!!
I am thankful for my family. I am also thankful that the loss of my daughter did not make me bitter, instead I have decided to live my life to the fullest way possible, not take anything too seriously, and making sure I stop to smell the roses. I choose to focus on the beautiful side of life. I am thankful for Ava even though she is not here on earth with me because ever since her loss, my priorities and focus on what's important in life has completely shifted.
Ok that's enough deep for the day.
