I continue to be thankful for the time I've had at had at home this summer to be able to heal without the worries of work. I had my surgery the day before our last day of school, so I only had to take one day off. When I go back to work on the 19th, I'll be two months post-loss and I'm in a much better place now emotionally and physically. Since the summer is winding down, I've been thinking a lot about how lucky I've been to have this time.
Ok, so maybe that was a little long-winded, but it was the first thing that came to mind!

I might be a minority here but I'm so thankful it's football preseason!!!! I love having my house filled with friends watching the game. Makes me so happy. And I'm thankful we actually have a strong, good team this year muahah!

I am thankful that the sadness of my loss has started to dissipate. It has been replaced by more of a longing/aching feeling, but I prefer this feeling, as it has allowed me to feel more peace.
I am forever thankful for my wonderful 6 yo.

Ditto that football is back but once again the Chiefs will break my heart. I will have to hear it from DH that once again the Chargers are amazing. I'm thankful for all you wonderful ladies right now. It's nice to have some support when all of my "friends" suck right now.

We planned to get rid of cable last summer and then direct tv had a great deal with nfl Sunday ticket. You betcha I took them up on that offer. I'm sad that we can't it again this season. I hate having games blacked out.

I was laid off (worked at a clinical stage biopharma company and our lead drug candidate failed its pivotal trial - I was devastated for the patients included in the trial and those hoping to benefit from the therapy) a week before my BFP. Post BFP I decided I would give it 2 months of job searching, and if something didn't work I would just freelance and then be a SAHM for a year or so - something I never, EVER imagined.
Well, yesterday the perfect job popped up - which is rare because I have a rather eclectic skill set. I sent an inmail to the HR reo who posted the job on LinkedIn and she ACTUALLY responded (which shocked me because usually top companies like to ignore people), and I submitted my resume & cover letter late last night.

I'm also thankful for a supportive family. A woman posted on the infertility board that her MIL is completely unsupportive of her and her husband's decision to do IVF and that just breaks my heart. I'm so glad that my family is encouraging, hopeful, and completely supportive of this decision. I'm also so blessed that we have insurance that covers the procedure, genetic testing, and most of the meds!
I'm also thankful for all the bumpies. I know I haven't been around as much as I'd like (TheBump has been recently blocked at work) but I'm always reading and quietly sending positive thoughts to you all, even if I don't have time to respond.
