Confessions?

Anyone got any?

Mine: DH and I are not in a good place right now. He's cranky and resentful about the demands of having two kids under two and both of us working full time. Yes, it's hard. It's not like he's alone in that, so why continue to take it out on me when I'm already also getting slack at work about not putting in enough hours? My confession is that while I usually try to be the bigger person and work things out promptly, I'm sufficiently annoyed at him right now that I don't really want to deal with it.

  • I am actually looking forward to getting back into they gym starting next week after a long recovery. Sick, I know!

  • My favorite post of the week :)

    Mine:

Last weekend was my bday. DH surprised me with a double wedding band. I have wanted this for years and absolutely love it. However I HATE that he spent so much money... He had it made as my push present since DD was supposed to be a diamond birthstone but she came early.... so I get that he had to pay for it at some point, but I really don't understand why he thinks were rich when I feel the exact opposite!

Also - i have been unreasonably angry about LO's sleep lately. She will occasionally STTN but I hate that it's so inconcistent. I know it's completely unfair to be mad and that all ina ll she's a decent sleeper - but I still can't get over it. Working with a baby who won't STTN consistently is absolutely killing me. I hate the way I feel and it honestly makes me question if I could ever handle more than one kid.

Also, next week is going to be busy: family is coming Sunday, leaving Monday....then another group of family is coming MOnday, staying til Thursday.  I'm really excited to see them, but M's had a tiny runny nose and we're dealing with a weird all-over body rash and I'm worried I'll resent them for being here and I'll have to entertain everyone and not be taking care of the rash or runny nose.

Confession, duh!  I wish I was just off from work all week next week and not entertaining family.  I feel terrible wishing that because I miss them A LOT

  • I am wearning my flame retardant suit for this one:

I am worried my LO is sleeping too much. Last night she slept from 6:30pm-4:50am. She had a fuss fit for about an hour then fell back asleep from 6-8. We started some sleep training and now I am worried it's working too well. Does anyone know if it can actually be bad for a 4 month old to sleep that much at night?

  • I am a first time SAHM. Even though DS is a really good baby, I am still super stressed out. My sister lives by me and will take him for a couple hours when she knows I need a break. Instead of getting things done or enjoying my alone time, I find myself missing him excessively, wanting him back, and looking at pictures of him. No rest for me :-?
  • @christineeberlee I'm so sorry your tired, hope your day gets better...
Confession: Me and SO have been face-timing lately when LO falls sleep at night well it's nice because we are trying to work at our relationship, but for the past 2 nights I have told him I am too tired and I'm going to bed. When I really just put pj's on and sit in bed to read a book. This mommy needs some alone time,I feel a little guilty about it. :^o

@shadysladyWed98470 Happy belated birthday fellow Leo, i'll admit that I ate half of mine as well in the middle of the night when Brayden wouldn't go to sleep X_X

My confession is although I have no more cases today & am finished with my work, i'm just going to stick around so I can get my rest on and catch a nap.  That sounds horrible but i'm just so exhausted & know I can't do this at home.

I actually have this exact same thing on my mind.  He's sleeping insane amounts at daycare during the day, and then still sleeping from about 8 PM to 4 or 4:30 AM, and then back to sleep after eating / diaper change, and then I have to wake him up to get him ready for daycare.  I'm NOT complaining, I'm just concerned / curious.

@cmcmillan0901 - I wouldn't worry about it! My DS literally sleeps 10-11 hours straight through thenight without any wake ups (about 8 pm-7 am, give or take). He also takes three naps during the day at 9, 12, and 3. Sometimes his naps are only like 30 minutes, but sometimes his afternoon nap is 60-90 minutes. Yes, I know we are lucky. Don't worry! Jus enjoy it.

  • Lately, DS sleep has regressed big time! He went from eating once a night around 4 or 5, to eating twice, plus waking up multiple times and needing to be rocked back to sleep. My confession is that sometimes I pretend not to hear him fuss at night and wait for DH to take care of him. He's working full time and I'm not, but I justify it by the fact that DS is an incredibly needy/fussy baby, so this momma needs her sleep in order to have patience during the day!!!

please tell me when this started for yall!- We are going to the doc today because i feel like i am feeding her TOO much, for the past month now she is up 2-3 times a night and HAS to have at least 4-5 ozs each time ( no matter what i do to try to combat it) - in addition to the 30 oz's she has in waking hours. THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH and I dont want to keep doing this... anywho doc today- didnt know if there was a miraculous time that she might start sleeping more... she was pretty decent till 3 month growth spurt that just never stopped it seems like, she will be 4 months wednesday!
  • He's always been a sleepy baby.  He is a big boy and he eats about 30-35 oz of formula per day.

I do this too. Sometimes just for the sake of DH waking up and then I take care of LO. DH still thinks I only get up once most nights cause he doesn't hear the rest.

I was/am anti baby TV but yesterday was such a bad day I turned on Kardashians and sat LO in my lap for a 30 min break. That was her first time seeing the TV screen and hopefully I don't break again for at least another couple months but it was the best break I've had in a while. When she naps I run around like crazy woman an when she is awake she is te center of my attention.

My other confession is that I have been resenting LO a bit the last couple weeks. I've posted here before we can't go out at night, she doesn't sleep well, she is a fussy baby most of the day. There are times cry and wonder if this was worth it to basically give up my life..and then she smiles at me and I love her all over again.

My other FFC, I've been eating a pack of PB Choc pop tarts everysingle day with a cup of coffee. Those things are so freakin good.

I TRY to do this, but it totally doesn't work - DH could sleep through nuclear fallout. this morning he said "Good boy, you slept through the night!" Um no, no he didn't.  YOU slept through the night, LO and I were up at 4 AM...

  • I'm not nearly as computer literate as I thought because I didn't have a clue how to set up anything on this site and DH had to do the pictures for me. Then he tried to explain it and I'm really to tired to care it's just easier for him to do it.

Also we still haven't "done the deed", we've tried several times but either got interrupted by LO or got too sleepy, and I'm not that bothered plus now that it's been so long I terrified I'm gonna suck at it.

I am wearing the same dress to a rehearsal dinner and wedding the next day because I was too lazy to find TWO dresses I could easily nurse LO in.

Ya know what? These days, I find the path of least resistance and simplicity to equal happiness in overall living. Dealing with the adjustment to mommyhood (or adding more bebes to mommydom) is enough to deal with, everything else is just minutiae that falls by the wayside. Good for you for keeping it simple!
  • Lately, I've been getting to bed when DH is getting up to go to work (DD is having some major sleep issues this week). I should probably feel guilty about that, but I secretly love having the bed all to myself for those few hours of sleep.
I had a better confession yesterday, but I don't remember it.

  • I am a SAHM right now. I wear sweatpants and tshirts or even pajama bottoms all day every day if I'm not going anywhere. I mean...they're clean, I don't stay in the ones from the night before, I shower and change into new pj's. lol If I'm going to the gym I wear my "nice" sweatpants, at home I wear those old drawstring ones.

I will say I never wear sweatpants anywhere but the gym. Like for shopping/restaurants/errands I wear regular clothes. And I never, ever, ever wear pj's outside of the house. Well, ok I used to if it was the middle of the night and we were going on a car ride. We used to go on 2AM car rides no where or to a drive-thru.

...at least you wear pants. I only put on pants if I'm going outside.
One more confession: I thought the Pantsless Fridays thread was about us MOMS not wearing pants and got really excited, but then...it wasn't. (I just really don't like wearing pants if I don't have to!)
