As I am getting to know you ladies, I can't help noticing some of your screen names. Some of them I can guess what they mean or where you came up with it, but others I am curious. So to GTKY, What is the meaning behind your screen name?

Mine is the title to my favorite children's book.

mine has absolutely no meaning! i made it before i got pregnant with my son, so it's over 4 years old and i honestly can't remember why i chose it. it's a weird name, but i'm not going to change it now because that just feels like a lot of work.

i was on the knot and the nest for years (since 2004) under a different name, and i had a ton of posts with that account. it had my full first name in it, though, and i wasn't comfortable using it anymore, so i made this one before TTC to stay anonymous.

When my husband was in Afghanistan they all had call signs or nick names. I was really involved with the unit back home and always had information before my husband and the guys did, and usually more accurate. The place with all the computers and info is called the click and actual meant better or above... So I became known as click actual

I read a lot and the library is my happy place. I had another screen name that was the same as my twitter and had most of my first and last name in it and that made me uncomfortable so I wanted something more anonymous. I sort of wish I would have kept the one that was my name now that I'm not secretly trying to conceive anymore.

Mine is my screen name from college...maiden name being douglas, m.j being my 1st and 2nd initals. It's really just the easiest thing for me to remember

I had the same name since I was 15...I liked frogs at the time, and I loved being 15. I was called squeaky by a small group of odd kids in middle school, so I threw them all together!:)

My mother, who passed away 8 years ago, used to always tell me that life is a process of becoming, i.e., in that, as you go through life, the good and bad, you "become" who you are supposed to be. Having lost both of my parents within a year, then going through a divorce, then my brother dying, and finally meeting my husband, getting remarried and having my son, I feel as if a lot of things (happy and sad) have made me become the person I am today. So, this saying always resonated with me--hence the screenname!

I had another screen name I used from my Knot days and during my last pregnancy, but I felt it was too recognizable. I actually had an acquaintance email me when I joined my last BMB and ask if that was me on TB... I'd like to keep things sliiiiiightly more anonymous this time!

My nickname since I was a baby and my birthdate. I recently found out "Beener" is a derogatory name for Mexicans and it makes me sad.

I've thought about changing it because of that because I certainly don't want to offend anyone with my nickname!

A nickname based on my maiden name (which people found difficult to say). My old bump account I made for the knot so it wasn't really a good fit, and I needed a fresh start after my mc.

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm relatively certain the racial slur is spelled with an "a" (like beans you eat) so I think you're good!

Mine is simple. My name is Amanda, nearly everyone calls me manda, and my grandparents who raised me called me panda. I made the account, joining 2 days before I found out I was pregnant the first go round to join the ttc board. It was 2 months after my gramps had passed, so I had to put panda in there.

Aw, thanks so much. If nothing else, having to deal with a lot of loss has helped me to appreciate the people who have come into my life (or have been in my life for eons and never left!) that much more. More than anything, I wish my parents and brother could have met my new husband and, of course, my son and this new wee one. I like to think they are all looking out for us on the other side

This was my email in college. I love sunflowers but that was already taken so I abbreviated it and added the 'a' for my first name. Since then I have to have 10 thousand log-ins, and this one tends to meet most requirements, so it stuck

Mine is moddish because I used to live in the city and mom because I'm a mom already. I find the picture of the baby deer and mommy deer in my backyard ironic with the name. I had another username in 2003 that I used on the knot and in my last pregnancy, but I wanted a new name and a fresh start to be more anonymous like lots of you. And you cannot change your name unless you email them and they agree to change it.

Mine's pretty obvious (married last name since I made this account when I got engaged way back when on the Knot), except that you might assume that I got married in '07, but I didn't. When we got engaged we originally thought we'd wait till '07, but then plans changed and we got married in 2006 instead. But my screenname didn't change

If you say sour cream with a Spanish accent it sounds like my maiden name. It became my nickname in college.

This was a carry from the knot but I never participated on any of the boards there. It's my DH's nickname for me. Petunia, but he always exaggerates like paahhhh-toon- yahhh. So we spell it with an 'A'. (Yeah, we're cool like that) The numbers were just random.
