I'm in a rut and looking for something to take up or learn that'll get me some child-free time once a week or so. So, ladies, what're you into that I should try?
I enjoy reading and astronomy. The colloege I attend has stargazing parties occasionally that I could attend. They would let you look through their telescopes or teach you how to use yours.

I am pretty crafty I used to make all my own jewelry, scrapbook, paint, a lot of diy stuff. Lately I haven't done much but I love to make and design custom invitations which I still do for every party I help plan. I guess my other hobby is party planning since I seem to have one every month. This month's party is our annual labor day pig roast!
@lady dixneuf I would have loved to take more astronomy classes in college but the school I got my BS was small and didn't have many and I do not live close to my current college so I only take classes for my degree.
I love sign language. I have taken several classes, but I always forget what I learned.
Our city has a bunch of adult evening/night classes.... Dance and fitness classes. Those are the ones I am interested in taking, someday. And our community college has a wine pairing classes once a week that I want to do some day.
Or inside the home... Baking and cooking. Love it. Sewing, I also enjoy but wish my machine wasn't so shitty. I also do a little wine pairing at home. It's me, my couch, wine, and the baby monitor.
@cbeanz, what kind of stuff do you make (re:woodworking)? My dad was pretty excited when he got his own shop at the house...he invested in a few woodworking tools with the ultimate goal to build himself a rocking chair.
@ziegeficker little stuff - birdhouses, jewelry boxes, a shelf. Of course this was when I had access to my dad's shop. Never anything big like furniture!
Sewing--anything from quilts to pillows. I used to do a lot of pj pants but they get annoying. I'm going to try to start to make doll clothes and random items useful for LO.
Scrapbooking....haven't touched that in years. Reading when I have peace and quiet (aka now never) and random crafty things.
Oh what about brewing your own beer? I don't do this but I have some friends who are into it. You can get kits for it.
I love beer and have had a couple of friends who have tried this. The overwhelming consensus (from the SOs of these friends) is that it's not worth it and smells up the house. Is it expensive to get started?
Re: What are your passions/hobbies?
I made rachelmichelle1 my bitch.
I also used to run a lot, what about training for a doable event like a 5K or a triathalon?
