Re: Spill your baby names.

  • We both love Olivia Grace for a girl. It just sounds so classy and old Hollywood. For a boy we like Declan or Coen.

Azreal for a girl and because my husband is an extremely large fan of Superman, Kal-el. It has begun to rub off on me!

I don't mean to be nasty, and perhaps I'm showing my age, but is Azreal the cat in the smurfs?

Haha. I have no idea actually. It was the name of one of my students a few years ago and I just fell in love with it.

The cat was always pretty nice! I love all the "ael" names.

We don't have names yet. Last time it took us a long time to choose names. We had a really hard time agreeing on boys' names,so if we have another boy it is going to be tough to choose a name!

  • My husband really likes Calliope for a girl...I like it, too, but it's a bit out there for me so I'm not sure. Our son's name is Cowen Allan (Cowen is pronounced like Owen with a C). Allan is my dad's name. We would like to honor my mom (Patricia) with this next one's middle name, so probably Patrice if its a girl and Patrick for a boy. We have no good first name options yet. I'm sure we'll think more seriously when we find out the sex. I like Miles now that a PP posted that.

  • Oh and I actually really like the name Elaina (or Elena). I would call her Lane for short. And Elaine was my grandmother's name so that would be perfect.

  • Idk so far on a boy's name, but if it's a girl I've decided on Jade, still unsure about the middle name.. I'm also considering Jade as a boys name too
  • I like Hazel too and call her Haze... but the hubby is not sold
  • Our son is Miles Robert, we can't agree on ANY names this time! I'm absolutely in love with the name Mable and have been kicking it around for months but so far DH is not loving it at all... I. Still holding out hope

  • I already have a beautiful 2.5 year old boy, Angus Jack, and for this time around it might be James David for a boy or Marnie Elizabeth for a girl - I'm pretty sure it's a girl!

Girls names are up in the air still. Currently, Scarlett or Ruby are on the table. As for a boy we are going with Declan.
My sis and I were just talking about the fact that I love Scarlett and she loves Ruby. I thought it would be cute for cousins.

  • If we have a girl she'll definitely have my mom's name as a middle name, Ida. We need names that work both in Italian and in English so that's an added difficulty.

  • Sooo many names to choose from! I like a few traditional names for both genders, however I'm a Jennifer and have 3 Michelle bfs so leaning towards something a little different. And my family would accept "different" names coming from me. My #1 wa Ruby Jane, ruby for my gma but 1st niece got that. Really like Nyla but 2nd niece is lyla:)
Girls: Elaine, haddie, Margot, Matilda, miller, cooper, Abigail, Allison, Harper, Dylan, I have a list:)
Boys: Kane, miles, William, Oliver, sonny, carter, maxwell, ....
Tough decision, haven't even begun to discuss it with hubs yet.
  • For boys, we like Landon, Ian, Owen, John, and Daniel. For girls we like Katherine "Kate," Annabelle, Elizabeth, and I love Nora and Lucy but I don't think DH is on board with those two.

  • I like Obediah, you could call him Obie.
When MH and I first moved in together, we had this apartment.  Almost every night in the middle of the night it sounded like someone was rustling through a newspaper or something.  Eventually any random noise (neighbor, vents, etc.) we'd just say, "Oh that's ol' Obediah!"  That's awesome, I haven't ever heard that name before or since. :)
That's awesome, I love it!  I had never heard the name before. DH found it when he was going through a list of really old names. I clearly like old person names...and it does sound great with our last name.

We had a "ghost" at my Grandma's house that we'd blame strange happenings on, and his name was Elmer. Hmmm...Elmer... ;)
  • Avery Rose - if its a girl

Connor Jameson "CJ" - if its a boy

  • Isla for a girl, Sander for a boy. I'm dead set on this, but DH says we should wait until the baby is born to name it. Like that's gonna happen! lol With DD I had a dream that she was a girl and I had named her Evelyn, so let's hope this time I have this premonitory dream again ;)
  • Our son is Max...Right now we like Pearl or Alexander.

Funny little factoid.  I first heard the name Callum from another mama on thebump who had a boy named Callum at the same time I had my Everett.
I love, love, love the name Everett. It's on my short list.

I love Scarlett! Such a classic name!

  • Stella K. (My maiden name starts with a K) and Thatcher Grey. It's just an unlucky coincidence that they rhyme.
  • Donald Paul for a boy.
    Elizabeth Claire for a girl.

If we end up with two boys or two girls we'll actually have to think about names.  These have been our names for a year or so.

    Zoey Elizabeth
    Aletheia Elizabeth

@PaddysGirl8 my good friend has a daughter Avery Rose! So funny :) They call her Aves or Rosebud !
  • So many gorgeous and unique baby name ideas on the board.

Girls: Dakota, Tessa, Clara, Michal, Evan, Brooke. We really like a lot of unisex names for girls. Rose is definitely my front runner for middle names.

As for boys, I'm kind of stuck. I love the name Eli. That's pretty much my only favorite.
