Went Shopping for clothes :(

I just hate this stage. Too big/ awkward for regular clothes, even in a bigger size, and too small for maternity clothes. I am supposed to be in business attire all weekend for a conference in Texas, and it's gonna be HOT. I am a freaking PE teacher... I don't own many warm weather businessy items. Blah. Sorry for my vent. Anyone else feeling like me?

Sometimes I wish I felt like you, but I fit perfectly in my maternity clothes because I am huge (or at least I feel huge)

Would dresses work for business casual hot weather attire? If you are at a conference, be aware of air conditioning.

  • I had a crying session in the middle of target. My husband finally had to force me into the maternity store. I found great items at motherhood maternity, not sure if you have a store near where you live. But I know old navy has a little bit dressier clothing that you might get away with. Worst case, but wavy dresses. Good luck!
  • I had a terrible time trying to find maternity clothes this weekend also. I went to three different stores and only came home with one shirt. Everything was soooo picked over or they only really had the new fall clothes out, and I really need some warm weather items now. I hate shopping online, but I may just have to.

  • Get a couple dresses and a throw a blazer over the top that you don't have to button. I always feel like shoes, hair and makeup are what really make an outfit look business like anyway.

I love asos. They have all kinds of stylish maternity clothes that run small. I wear size 2-4 pre pregnancy, and their maternity size 2 (uk 6) was very very tight on me. I wear size 4 (uk 8) or even 6 (uk 10) and they fit perfectly. Free shipping no minimum either way, the only downside is it takes 5-7 days for delivery.
  • I went shopping for maternity clothes this weekend and it was AWFUL!  I'm huge already, but I hate how all of the maternity pants feel like I'm wearing control top pantyhose!  They kept rolling down my back (I'm all belly, my back is still hourglass shaped, and what not), and I feel like I have no support.  Thank goodness for Old Navy full panel. It's the closet thing I have found and I have to buy them online.

  • I guess I just hate maternity clothes too. I cringe having to pay for them really. My conference is at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. I don't really know if that's even an indoor or outdoor stadium? Anyway, thanks for your help and suggestions ladies.

  • It's an indoor stadium. :) You should be comfortable in the ac.
