But she spits up about half of her feedings, sometimes it even comes out her nose She's mostly BF, sometimes bottles of pumped BM. I notice her spitting up more early in the morning and later at night. This usually coincides with her eating more often/feeding longer, like when she first wakes up or when she is cluster feeding before bed.
She doesn't have reflux but about once or twice a week she will spit up. I think it's more she overworks herself or tries to put her whole hand in her mouth after feedings. She is only FF.
Snuffles is 10 weeks and has spit up maybe 5 or 6 times total, and one time was definitely our fault for overstimulating her after eating. I suspect she has silent reflux a bit, though, because sometimes you can kind of see something come up in the back of her throat but she swallows it back down. This happens maybe 2 or 3 times a week but doesn't seem to bother her.
LO spits up often, but not usually a lot of volume. It's a bit unpredictable, though it tends to happen when I'm in clean clothes, on my way out somewhere (like work) and don't have a burp cloth handy. You'd think I'd learn my lesson.
From my understanding of reflux- it's really common in young infants and also not really anything to be concerned about unless it appears to be bothering the baby, and they generally outgrow it on their own, right?
LO doesn't have reflux and he has spit up maybe 3 or 4 times total, usually from jostling him after he eats. He's FF. His older brother had reflux and spit up at least daily.
DD is 12 weeks today & has only recently started spitting up. She is EFF. For the last 2 weeks, though, she has had a cold, with a lot of drainage. It does seem to be getting better & she hasn't been spitting up as often. I have been trying to make sure she burps after each feeding & limiting activity right after. If we are out somewhere, I will put a bib on her to limit the spit up she gets on her clothes.
T is BF and normally spits up a bit after most feelings. I'm assuming it's not reflux because my Dr. Said he was fine as long as he didn't seem upset along with it.
Same here. My LO didn't spit up at all the first month or so. And now he does it pretty frequently. I would say about once every feeding but just a bit. Usually while straining himself or playing. He is never upset or uncomfortable though so we don't worry. His doc is of the mentality that "babies spit up sometimes." He said he may have some reflex issues but doesn't seem to have GERD because he isn't uncomfortable. He is BF btw.
Tommy has been having issues spitting up lately. He used to never spit up. Now its a lot! He is breastfed mostly and given a bottle about once a day. Out of the blue it just started happening constantly!
Re: spit up

he spits up after almost every feeding, sometimes just a small mouthful, sometimes an ounce or so.
he is breastfed and now takes bottles of breastmilk during the day now that I am back at work. He spits up with both.
