rubbing her eyes a lot

My daughter has been rubbing her eyes alot, even when she just wakes up from a  nap.  Could this be just a growth spurt?

    could be seasonal allergies...i have noticed DD doing that alot on the days when the pollen count is absurdly high (which is has been alot lately b/c we're been getting so much stinking rain)
