Spill your baby names.

Re: Spill your baby names.

  • For girl names:  Adalynn Grace, Jayla Grace or Jayla Rae (my middle name is Rae, so I'm not so sure how I feel about that).

For boy names: I'm not dead set on these yet but Greyson Lynn or Jeremiah Lynn

DH is stuck on Jayla, because I've been talking about it for over a year now.  So I feel like he's so used to it.  But once I came across Adalynn, I loved it too.  DH hasn't expressed his thoughts about boy names yet.

    Girl: Olivia Leigh
    Boy: Finnegan John
  • We have three names for a girl: Lily Malin, Gabrielle Mae (brielle for short) and my husband picked this one, and we are both total nerds Harley Quinn.

For a boy we have two: Logan Xavier and Gage Draven. We met half way with those, because I like Logan Alexander and Gage Xavier...but I'll let my husband have some say, I suppose. :)
  • We've liked Quinn (boy or girl) for a long time... though it seems that's now getting very popular due to Glee.  I don't watch Glee so I had no idea.  We haven't picked any middle names yet.
  • Leaning toward Julia - although my husband has a mild obsession with "Fleur" that I just can't wrap my mind around...

  • Rose for a girl and Declan for a boy is what we're thinking right now.

    aw I love these!

I am a huge HUGE baby name nerd (most of my bump points come from BNB)

I am loving Eliza for a girl and Harrison or Conrad for a boy

I'm stuck on Hazel for a girl, but my husband doesn't like it. It's my great grandmother's name. He really likes Haley, which doesn't really do anything for me. There aren't any boy names I've fallen in love with yet, but I haven't really been looking, either. We won't be outlandish or get creative, just don't want anything that's on the top 10 or 20 in popularity right now.
Hazel is my great-grandmothers name and I also love it but DH has nothing nice to say about it :( What about the name Hadley or Hattie? They feel more old fashioned to me than Haley, but are in the same vein

    I love Mabel! :)
  • Our son is Nicholas Joseph (Joseph after my deceased mom, JoAnne).  The girl's name we had picked with ds is Ava JoAnne (JoAnne after my mom) and I still love it.  For a boy we like Jacob (but my good friend is having twin boys this week and using Jake...sigh) and Lucas.  We haven't decided on a middle name for a boy but I like Henry (which is dh's deceased uncle's name) or Garrett (my maiden name).

  • We both are feeling like this will be a boy already and that name has been stuck for awhile.  "Quinn"  It's DH's middle name and I vetoed having a Jr. or using his first name (Chad), bc there are no good nn's and two Chad's is just too confusing.  So it will probably be Quinn Arthur (Arthur after his grandpa and it means "bear" and for the last 2+ years, he has wanted Grizzly as a middle name.)  Boy names are hard though, bc there isn't a lot that we LOVE.

Girl names we find a lot that both of us like.  I told him I want to have a list of girl names and pick after she/he is born.  So far our list looks like this:  Emelia/Amelia, Emma, Eliza, Lana, Lena, Evangeline, Josephine, Eleanor, and then Caroline and Carolanne, I guess are possible middle names after our mom's.

Josephine is on my list, too! It's in the top three right now, along with Adeline and Henrietta. I like Josie, Addie, and Henny all as nicknames.

Boy names are so much harder for me. All the names I like seem to be getting more and more popular. Can you ladies weigh in on the name Obediah? DH came up with it, half joking I think, but it's kind of growing on me. Am I crazy??

When we had DS we chose his name Seamus Kelly, or if he was a girl it would've been Dolly June.  Not entirely feeling Dolly June anymore but here's what I am leaning toward right now, DH hasn't a clue...

    Boy: Silas, Johann(es) Samuel

Girl: Eliza Jane (I think it ages better)

My daughters are Mary Jane (we call her by both names, or MJ) and Eliza Poppy. :) I also adore Silas!

I thought we were set on the boy's name Theodore Linus, but last night my husband says he thinks he'd like to consider naming a boy after his best friend who passed away ~ Clifton, nn Cliff.

We cannot agree on a girl's name. But I like:

Bronwen Fable (nn Winnie or Wynne)
    Camilla Daphne
    Cecily Violet
    Daphne Pearl
    Margaret Daisy
    (nn Greta)
    Penelope Wren (nn Nellie)

  • We have only just started thinking of names and so far I love Daniella for a girl.  I love the 2 different nn Dani or Ella.  Then for a boy we are thinking maybe Bradley.

I'm sure we will be coming up with a list soon enough!

  • Colin Thomas for a boy
Kathryn (Kate) Elizabeth for a girl

I do love Owen for a boy, but I keep thinking of Danny Devito in that movie "Throw Momma from the Train!"
  • I'm stuck on Leo for a boy and Maura for a girl. My hubby doesn't agree though so we'll see.
  • So many great names!!
If ours is a boy we have basically settled on Cooper Martin (Martin is my Dad's first name and DH's middle name). DH is also a sports nerd and is obsessed with anything double OO's for cheering purposes. I can see him now, "COOOOOOOOP!"

For a girl I am loving Harper or Hadley. Middle name must be Rose, which is mine and my Mother's middle name after my Grandmother.
  • We like Adrianna Noelle for a girl and either Landon Matthew or Matthew Gaven for a boy (Gaven spelled that way since my dad is Gary and FIL is Steven)

When MH and I first moved in together, we had this apartment.  Almost every night in the middle of the night it sounded like someone was rustling through a newspaper or something.  Eventually any random noise (neighbor, vents, etc.) we'd just say, "Oh that's ol' Obediah!"  That's awesome, I haven't ever heard that name before or since. :)
