Shaving is nearly impossible at this point. Sure I can shave my lower leg and thighs but my lady parts are in serious need of some help. What is a girl to do? :-(
Aside from professional waxing, enlisting your DH's help is the only alternative that I can see! Not only can I barely see over my bump anymore, my pelvis/hip aches and pains are preventing me from lifting my legs too high or contorting myself into most positions. I'm rapidly moving into the realm of just not giving a sh!t.
I waxed myself once years ago and while it went well, it hurt like mad. So I asked DH if, when I get to the point of being unable to groom down there, if he would do it for me. He suggested I just get waxed...which would be all fine and dandy if it wouldn't hurt ten times more than the last time and I could barely stand it them. I don't know though...we're already making a list of things I'm getting done in late November or early December. So far we're at: pedicure, prenatal massage, and POSSIBLE wax...just because.
I got a bikini wax a few weeks ago before we went on vacation. I regret not going for the whole Brazilian. I think that'll be for when it starts growing in again. DH has offered to help, but I think I'll stick to the waxing. Might hurt less in the end!
Ladies! Wax!!! There's nothing wrong with a little professional kitty grooming! And if you find someone who does a good job then it's a piece of cake! And you may even look forward to your monthly waxing appointments having a regular waxer is like having the best secret keeper ever! Tell her everything! It's awesome!
I am essentially carrying on pretending that I have no idea what's going on down there, out of sight, out of mind, and don't know what any of you are talking about LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
I'm afraid of this happening...I would be TERRIFIED to have DH try to take care of it. TERRIFIED. I think he would hack my lady bits to bits
I'm with you, I'm too nervous to let Mr.MM near there with a sharp blade. I'm considering picking up an electric bikini trimer though, like hair clippers.

How did you build up the confidence to let another lady near your fairy? I'm scared i'd mess up as I have no clue what to expect, or how long to let my hairs grow in the first place to go.

I actually own a spa and am a waxer & aesthetician myself!! I have clients that I've been waxing for years! I love them all and they love me. It's great! I'd never be able to not have my bikini waxed!

It sounds like you have some great clients! Maybe I need to stop being a chicken and just do it lol!
That's what I've always done, and it always seems to work just fine. I think it depends on what you're going for. I can see how maintaining a landing strip might be a little difficult, but I just take it all off and that's not hard to do.

I've asked DH if he would help me as my bump is really starting to grow now. I'm not too worried about it. I'm essentially in the same boat as @northport6. I'm just carrying on as if nothing is unusual.
DH isn't bothered by it for now, so I'm not worrying about it. I've got plenty on my plate as it is. Now when it gets bad or closer to delivery, I have no qualms whatsoever letting DH near me to help me shave it's just whether he will want to or not. I trust him completely and know he'll be gentle and not hack me up.
@sameoldash Last time I just blind shaved I cut myself, so I quit doing that. It hurt so bad, the one and only time I've cut myself down there.
@superspecialsnowflake Please, please, please make a note of @sameoldash's labes of steel. I would be remiss if I didn't bring this to your immediate attention.
I have a shower chair and a razor with battery powered clippers on the other end. I can get a close trim without much effort while sitting down. Not perfect, but ill live with it.

I'm not in the business but I've been going on and off for years. Right now I'm going about once every 5 weeks. It gets better the more you do it and your aesthetician will tell you where you need to put your leg.
Just go somewhere that uses hard wax. I'm using European Wax Center now that they've opened a few in my area. It's a chain and I think they are now in a bunch of different states.
I think waxing is the way to go. Can't stand having to deal with the grow back of shaving. I dont enjoy wanting to scratch like a dog with fleas. Plus I bet after labor getting waxed is a piece of cake! just my 2 cents.
I go monthly for a bikini wax and plan on continuing throughout! Love it! And wouldn't stop doing it. Once you find someone who does a good job just stick with her. Then you have nothing to worry about
I picked up a Venus bikini trimmer, it's not as close a shave as I'd like. It does the trick of keeping the lawn maintained without hacking me up. I'd love to wax but I'm on bed rest. For those afraid, it's bad but some will have a numbing gel that helps for newbies.
5 IUIs and an IVF
It's all worth it for Baby Boy, born 9/30/13!
What do you know, Baby Girl just popped up! Due 1/2/15
You guys, last night in the shower, I looked down and saw...a tuft. Poking out just beyond my protruding belly. Thus shattering my illusion of not knowing what was going on down there. Luckily, my bump is not so big that it cannot be gotten around. I used my Venus trimmer and got it down to a less crazy length, and now also have a new benchmark for when I'll take action: visual tufts.

But I think this time I may try waxing.
