I work full-time, and put on makeup daily (it takes me 5 minutes - natural-looking eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, foundation, powder, and lipstick). On weekends I usually end up putting it on one of the two days or just in the afternoon after hanging by the pool or exercising.
I feel more put together and like myself with makeup on, so it's worth the 5 minutes for me. Even at the beginning of maternity leave I tried to put it on daily so that I would feel like myself.
I should mention that it's something DH and I have never discussed - I don't think he cares one way or the other. I do it for myself.

If I'm going somewhere then I put on make up. But, if I'm spending the day cleaning the house or doing laundry then I won't. I always wear make up to church on Sundays.
I wear makeup if I'm going somewhere. If I'm just running to the store, I do a tinted moisturizer and a coat of mascara. If I'm running around doing all of my errands plus some pleasure trips (i.e. the mall), I do my full on Bare Minerals routine (primer, foundation, bronzer, mineral veil, blush), natural eye shadow and light eye liner. If I'm going out to dinner/date/professional event, I go heavier on the eye makeup and lip gloss in addition to everything else. Tonight is DSS's meet the teacher night so I'll go more "fancy" on the makeup.
"To be able to practice five things everywhere under heaven constitutes perfect virtue...gravity, generosity of soul, sincerity, earnestness, and kindness."
I don't really wear any makeup. If I'm leaving the house I'll put on some powder foundation, but that's it. I just never got on board with all the other stuff.
I put on makeup when I go to work or to church. It's usually foundation, eyeliner, natural eye shadow, mascara, and tinted Chapstick. I only wear fancy makeup when going out somewhere special or to a wedding.
Your H is crazy! Do what makes YOU feel comfortable on a daily basis and dress it up a bit for a special occasion. That's my two cents.
I rarely wear make-up. Even to work, I wear tinted moisturizer, mascara, and a lightweight blush. I have some nice make-up but only wear it the few times a year we go to a wedding or another event.
I wear makeup everyday. My routine takes all of about 5 minutes and is very natural and light - concealer, bare minerals powder, bronzer & mineral veil, eyeliner and mascara. I feel more put together and professional (for work) with it on. Plus I think I inherited my mother's rosacea. If my skin looks ok, I might run to the store on the weekend without it but for the most part, if I leave the house, I do have makeup on.
I wear makeup every day to work. Most of the time on the weekend, I don't wear any unless we go out somewhere. My H doesn't care, either way.
THIS! On weekends, unless we are getting together with friends, etc, I don't put on my makeup. If I'm just running errands or going to the grocery store, I'm make up free ... just my daily face lotion with SPF (just to be safe). This past Saturday we decided last minute to go to a steakhouse for dinner (with DD). I through on some BB cream and tinted chap stick! Done!

TTC Since January 2009
Reproductive Endocrinologist diagnosed us "Unexplained Infertility".
After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.
Baby Girl # 2 TTC Since June 2013 Got pregnant on our own without Fertility Treatments - January 2016! Thank you snow storm Jonas! EDD 10/15/16 At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
I rarely wear a full face. I only wear make up if I'm leaving the house. For just trips to the store or to run errands, I'll wear tinted moisturizer, mascara, and tinted chapstick. I'll wear eyeliner and shadow if I'm going somewhere a little fancier, though.
H really doesn't care.

Your DH needs a "full face" of humble pie ala The Help. I wear make-up most days but only for me and only to the level appropriate for the occasion. I've had years of pressure from my mother telling me I "needed" more makeup and it's so hurtful. It's hard to say sorry, this is my face, deal with it. But I hope you can. Or just draw on some wonky liner, goop up some mascara and tell him the baby did it for you and will be a future cosmetologist.
I barely ever wear makeup. I work in a kitchen, so it would be a lost cause there. Other than work and the grocery store, I don't really go anywhere. On the rare occasion I do, I will wear eyeliner and some blush, but that's about it.

PS - I should mention I (still) forget to put on deodorant at least twice a week! Thankfully I keep an extra stick in my desk drawer at work! I still feel like a zombie most days!

It depends on if I am going anywhere, but I feel like my hair style needs me to look non blotchy so I wear bare minerals foundation and blush almost every day. I use eyeliner almost every day, but it is not dark. Usually blues or coppery colors. And I only line my top lid.
I made it sound worse than it is. DH expressed that he really likes a certain type of eye makeup. Since I know it makes him happy, I try and go out of my way (on most days) to do it. I was just trying to get a feel for if I really am "over make-up'd" every day.
Although, the days that I don't do nice eye make up and the whole shebang, he does mention it. Like, "No sexy eye make up today?" And I say something like, nope, no time, or etc. THAT part does make me feel bad. It's like some days I just want a day off of trying, ya know?
Monday-Friday, I was natural light make up. On the weekends, I rarely ware makeup. I doubt SO notices either way since I usually put it on in the car on the way to work
I wear make up daily for work. (I meet with people constantly) Never any touch ups during the day. On the weekends or to run to the grocery store, rarely ever unless I was headed to an event afterwards, etc.
As for DH, it's nice to know that he thinks you look nice with it on, however I would feel awful if I felt like I had to do it for him esp when you don't want to.
I rarely wear makeup, normally just some burts bees chapstick.
If I am going out for the night or to a special event I will put on mascara and maybe some eyeshadow. During the school year (work) I will wear mascara to work a little more frequently maybe 3-4x a month.
I wear full makeup every day unless I know I am not leaving the house. Now DH could care less about the makeup but I was raised to put on your makeup before you leave the house. All of it.
I put on a full face when I go to work: foundation powder, eye shadow, liner, mascara, blush. I've for it down to a science, though, so it only takes me 6-7 minutes. On the weekend it's just powder, blush and mascara.
I wear full make up Monday thru Friday for work. On weekends it depends on what we are doing, but usually my daytime weekend look is powder, mascara and lip gloss.
I wear makeup every day. I have really terrible skin from my acne days, which still happen from time to time. I don't feel attractive without it. My "full face" is tinted moisturizer with SPF, concealer, powder, eyeshadow, liner, mascara and blush.
The last time I wore make up was my sister's wedding almost 2 years ago. I don't wear any on normal days. Even when I was working I didn't but why would I if I am just going to be doing labwork or fieldwork, I dont think the test tubes would care or the animals.
another non-makeup wearer here. even to work. i usually just use toner in the morning and then face lotion with SPF. (although i do put concealer on the occasional pimple.) if i was going to some kind of fancier event, i would wear a little sparkly eyeshadow, mascara, maybe a little blush, and some lip gloss. but generally any makeup i buy expires long before i use it up.
I hardly wear makeup. Occasionally on Sundays I will wear it to church, but it's generally just mascara, eye liner, and lipstick. I don't think I even have foundation that matches my skin tone any longer.
Personally, I would make it a trade off. If he really wants you to wear it, find something that you want him to do. If it were me, I'd tell dh that I'd wear makeup every day if he waxed the hairy spot on his back.
I don't really wear any makeup. If I'm leaving the house I'll put on some powder foundation, but that's it. I just never got on board with all the other stuff.
This is me. I'll do it up for date nights for sure and a lighter version for church.
