Hi there! I am new to Colorado and just found out I am pregnant with my 2nd. I need to find a good OB and hospital/birthing center, any recommendations in the Broomfield area? THX!
Depending on what part of Broomfield (it's very sprawled out), you might look into those that have privileges at Avista Hospital in Superior. I have heard fantastic things about giving birth there!
If you don't mind driving to Boulder (actually, I think they opened an office in Broomfield I just don't know where) Boulder Women's Care is fantastic. I actually used the midwives affiliated with them but needed a c-section. Mako Shimoda was amazing, especially for having never met her until right before the c/s. She was calm, comforting and very proficient. I am more of a midwife kind of gal, but if I needed to go OB I would choose Mako (and yes, they go by first names there).
Avista Women's Care is fabulous, I see Dr. Spears but I've also met the midwife and she is great as well. I live in Erie and drive all the way there, and its totally worth it. The hospital's birthing center is known as the best in the state.
Try The Women's Health Group PC. They have offices in Broomfield and Lafayette. I saw Dr. Eastman-Gallo at the Lafayette office and LOVED her! I delivered at Exempla Good Sam in Lafayette off 287. I drove from Reunion (35-45) minutes to see her and it was totally worth it. She is amazing and even stayed 1 hour late so she was the one to do my emergency c-section instead of the on call dr. I like all the other drs at the Lafayette office and if it matters to you (it did to me) they are all women.
Baby is fpies to diary, soy, rice, squash, and sweet potatoes.

I just had my daughter at Avista in Louisville, and my OB was Dr Karin Spears at Avista Women's Care. I love Dr Spears and Avista. Avista has amazing food, big rooms and awesome nurses. Dr Spears is easy to talk to, listens to your needs and was supportive of all of my wants.
