Success after IF

What would you do and update!

I feel like I've been semi MIA lately. Work has been insanely busy so I haven't been bumping much.
Update: After being on a break cycle last month with cysts they are cleared up. But my RE ordered another sperm analysis for DH since he was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and that could affect sperm count, which in the past has been normal. Our RE also recommended another break cycle since she thinks DH might be the issue this go around.

So my question is this..... He is supposed to go in on Tuesday and he was instructed to abstain from sex 3 days prior which would be Saturday, except today I got a positive opk! Should we just have sex today and tomorrow or reschedule his sperm analysis and get busy through the weekend?

On a side note...I'm super excited that I've actually ovulated 2months in a row on my own!!

Re: What would you do and update!

  • Yikes, I don't know what to tell you.  (Welcome back, I've missed you!)  I would not DTD today, and do the SA Saturday.  I would either abstain today and do the SA, or get busy this weekend, and delay the SA.  You don't want your SA to be altered in any way, you know?
And way to go ovaries!  Nice work.  Perhaps they could give mine a lesson?

  • Haha TJ! I don't think you want my ovaries giving any lessons just yet. Sorry my blurb was confusing. DH is giving his donation Tuesday so we'd have to abstain starting Saturday. I guess that gives us two days to hit this cycle assuming I ovulate tomorrow unless we postpone.

P.s. any more signs of getting back in the game with AF?? I haven't seen TTC check in

I would take advantage of the next few days :) Good luck with this cycle and with his SA!

  • Ah, reading comprehension fail.  Sorry.  Yes, take advantage of the next few days and hope for a miracle!
AF came back, then took a 6 week hiatus and returned last week.  So I'll be interested to see what happens this month.  It's so frustrating, because between PCOS and still BFing, there's just no telling what is going on with my body.
I was just wondering about the TTCA check-in.

  • If it were me, I would just delay the SA until after your fertile period is over with...unless it is a big deal to do that.

  • Okay I don't know when this was posted BUT in the past I have always rescheduled SA's if they were around the time I'm ovulating, you know, just in case ;)  and this last time I'm sure glad I did because it's the cycle I got knocked up!  You just never know.
