BFP! For real this time, and with the pic!

Ugh! Sorry about my bump burp, earlier! I'm happy to now officially announce my BFP!

What we did/timing: This was my 3^rd month off BCP, and my 2^nd full month of charting and actively trying. I felt like a slave driver this cycle, practically forcing DH to BD on O-3, O-2, O-1, & O+1 (and I gave him a hard time for missing O day, geesh!) We had sex at bedtime all of those nights (regular, run-of-the-mill sex) and I didn’t get out of bed till morning (I don’t get UTI’s from this anymore). I drank some POM juice and green tea during my FP, but I doubt it had much of an effect. I charted my BBT religiously and CM from my undies when I thought it was necessary.

Symptoms: Not much. I did start noticing some lightheadedness that seemed a bit abnormal for me around DPO8. I also had some pretty fertile looking CM on DPO6 & 8, which confused me a little. I’m still feeling kind of weak and lightheaded, with sort of a heavy feeling in my abdomen at times. Oh, and I had a huge temp spike today. Feel free to check out my chart – I think it’s pretty.

Testing: I was holding off until today, which was hard when I started to feel a little weird a few days ago. But I psyched myself out last month and totally thought I was ku, so I was trying to play it cool this month. I first used a Wondfo and got a big-time squinter. So I decided to use a FRER with the same pee and got a clear line! I’ll be testing for the next few days, for sure, to see if it gets darker.

How I told DH: I had this really cute plan to scatter baby socks next to his side of the bed and then tell him to pick up his dirty laundry off the floor (I’m always “nagging” him about leaving his dirty socks all over the bedroom). But he was taking his sweet time to wake up, and I got impatient. I went in and sat on the bed, woke him up, and tried to tell him he needed to deal with his dirty laundry. But he could read it all over my face and just asked, “Are you pregnant?” I kind of smirked and nodded and then we hugged and kissed. Then, in true DH fashion, he said we should celebrate with champagne and that I should clean out the litter box (I’ve been teasing him that I won’t be able to do that once I’m ku).

Mushy stuff: You ladies have seriously been the best thing for me these past few months. I had to go through losing my BFF right before we started TTC, and DH isn't much of a talker, so I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t had all of you to share my journey with. I learned, I laughed, and I cried with you. Thank you so much for all of your well wishes, helpful advice, and necessary distractions! I will definitely be lurking and rooting for all of you to get your own BFP’s very soon!
