I've been mostly just lurking for a while now as BH have increased, but as I'm at the hospital with contractions every 3 minutes at 32 weeks, thought I'd formally introduce myself!
I have two kids under 3 already (this will be 3 under 3). With my second, I was in and out of the hospital with false/preterm labor from 33 weeks on. Had the baby just at term, at 37 weeks.
I was hoping that my stress levels at the time had caused all the preterm scares last time and I was hoping to avoid them this time. Apparently not.
No idea what's happening now... Have had strengthened contractions every 3-4 minutes for about three hours now... No leaking amniotic fluid, no dilation thus far!
I'm here alone as my husband is at home with the kids. He just had back surgery so my mom's helping him. Hoping that everyone gets out alive in that situation!!
Sorry best wishes.. Were you in 17p this pregnancy?
I took progesterone in my last two pregnancies but after testing several times in the first few weeks of this pregnancy, my doctor decided I didn't need it this time round.
In fact, apart from a string of unfortunate health issues (4 sinus infections, a root canal and apparently a jawbone growth that must be surgically removed after I have this baby), I've had a very healthy, complication free pregnancy.
So Ive been nervous from last time but still hopeful to make it to term without any problems.
Thanks again all for the support! As mentioned, I've been lurking but not chiming in because I wasn't at high risk, just nervous from the last pregnancy.
By the way, I'm still contracting every 3-5 minutes after 5 hours. They said they'll probably give me a terbutaline shot and something for the baby's lungs just in case. They also mentioned pelvic rest...
Thanks! Now there's a possibility that I've dilated but they have given me the terb and will hopefully release me soon... My doctor wants to see me for another FFN test on Monday and hopefully I won't have any more contractions this weekend!
Wow, what an intro. Sending you, Baby and the rest good vibes. Good luck, hope everything turns out well and LO stays in to cook a little while longer.
Re: Intro... Currently at L &D
