Mamaroo

So my LO will only nap on me throughout the day. I love the quality bonding time but I want her to get used to sleeping on her own aswell. She sleeps through the night in her PnP so thats not a problem, just napping.

The one item we do not have is a swing and my LO loves movement. So im thinking about purchasing the Mamaroo Swing. My only concern is that my LO is 2 and half months old around 12lbs and im not sure if she'll grow out of it soon and is worth the 249 dollars. I liked it because of the different motions, and really want to try the car motion, my LO loves to sleep in the car and option to connect your iphone/ipod to the swing.

Any moms using the mamaroo ? How do you like it ? Would you recommend it ? Pros / cons?

Anyone have any recommendations on other swings that they have?

  • I have it and love it. I wish we had it with DS1. It is amazing helping LO sleep or stay amused while I'm taking care of my toddler. I've also let him sleep in in the tree swing mode in the wee hours of the night. DH bought it instead of the swing and it was worth every penny.

  • We have a swing and mamaroo. For us the mamaroo isn't worth it. He doesn't seem to even like it that muh but the swing works well.
  • We have one and like it a lot... we actually got it because it has a much smaller base than most swings, and it plugs in. It is a lifesaver. I can't compare it to a regular swing since we don't have one but I'm glad we have it. Also, we used a 20% off coupon at BRU from the bottom of a register receipt. We were surprised it wasn't excluded. Oh... and we got the one with the regular seat, not the plush seat. I don't think the plush fabric would have been worth the extra money.

  • We have one and love it. I just bought a second from bbb for my moms house. If you buy online you can get the old color (black or gray) for $199 and use the 20% coupon making it $160!

That's what we did @BRU. Not much more than a regular swing.

  • We have the mamaroo and well she has spent barely any time in it. She hates it. She loves the the real truck ride but the car ride motion and noise on the swing makes her mad. I wish we had the option of trying someone's before we bought one cause so far it's just collected dust. However we have two friends with LOs who love theirs so in the end it depends on the baby!

Not much more at all. We've recently adjusted it to sit LO up a bit more... These LOs are growing like weeds!!

  • We bought one from BRU, DD doesn't really care for it. But she doesn't like most of the expensive items, just give her an activity mat and she's happy. Mommy and daddy thought it was super fun though...

We have one , and our LO loves it. We used it with the infant insert at the beginning, but removed it a few weeks ago.He is 15 lbs, and still has plenty of room to grow. I love that it's smaller than a regular swing. Our son sleeps in it sometimes, and has taken 3 hour naps in it. Now that he is older, he is much better at staying awake in it.

  • Our little guy slept in it a lot the first few weeks and then hated it. I'm trying to get him to like it again..

  • We like our Mamaroo well enough, and the concept is really cool. We bought ours from a friend who had never used it, for $100, and I'm glad I didn't pay more than that. Like PP mentioned, I like that it doesn't take up much space. :)
