There are 9 ladies at my place of employment due between now and dec. Btw we are all having boys! and that's not including 4 dads who's wives also had boys! Anyways in the dining area I was speaking to a few of the other ladies and we got on the topic of our water breaking at work. Almost all of our fears were it would happen in our chairs and we would ruin our chair seats. Not that this is a huge deal since we work for a office furniture mfg. But anyways, STM's do any of you have a dramatic " my water just broke" story?
Re: STM, where did your water break?
ETA: About 3 hours later ds was born.
Omg! Was this a doctor or nurse who did that? That's so awful!

"Pop" before the gush.
But a lady that I used to work with, hers broke at work. She went in to our boss an said I'm leaving, and he was going to deny it. Then she said. My water broke. He said leave lol.
DH and I seriously discussed getting litmus paper from the pharmacy and trying to test it ourselves to avoid the embarrassment of the L&D staff laughing at us and sending us home. We got lunch on the way to the hospital, and ate in the restaurant. When they said yup, your water broke, we were both shocked that we were there to stay. They kept asking me exactly when it happened, and I really had no idea. I got started on pitocin to get my contractions to amp up- I was having some but couldn't feel them yet. Of course, the Dr.s later broke my water again- a second membrane maybe?- and that time it was like a bathtub faucet between my legs. They of course decided to do that right when they were putting my epidural in...
All that to say, it's not always a huge gush when it's go time...

Mine broke while waiting in triage of L&D. I was only dialated to a 3 and was about to be sent home.
I thought I had to pee, but was hooked up to monitors so I told my DH to hurry and grab the nurse. My head was hanging in shame when they got back because I thought I peed myself. But as soon as I stood up, the nurse laughed and said "no, I am pretty sure your water broke", and tested it. And it was my water, thank goodness!
