Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Lo hates the crib!

Anyone else experiencing this? Naps he does good however come night max he will sleep is 4 hrs in there before we cave to the rnp. It's been 5 weeks now. Any magic tips?! I thought the transition would be rough but not this bad. We're desperate over here.

Re: Lo hates the crib!

  • My LO wouldn't sleep in his crib until well into his 4th month. His favorite was the swing, he'd swing in it all night long! As long as he wasn't laying down he would sleep. (In the very first weeks it was the car seat!) He spit up a lot and I had read that lying down causes reflux in babies so when he was at an angle he actually felt better and was able to sleep. Unfortunately he is a big baby and quickly outgrew his swing so we had to transition him. Luckily his formula helped too. We started using the Similac Sensitive and it made a world of difference. Don't know if this helps at all but Good luck!

  • This may not help you at all, but my LO would not nap where she slept at night. When she was sleeping in her cradle next to my bed, she was able to nap in the crib. Then when we transitioned her to sleep at night in the crib, she had a hard time napping in it. I wonder if you let him nap somewhere else other than the crib, if he would be able to sleep in it at night?
