  I love it.

  But it legit makes me cry a little that you "saw it on a website" rather than know it from the J.D. Salinger novel.

  I associate it with the character from The Catcher In the Rye. It is a little depressing to me.
  
  It also has a very preppy vibe to me.

  LOVE it!  My 11 yr old son is Holden- it is a great name, it's Never duplicated in class/sports, etc but everyone prounounces and spells it correctly!

  Oof, unfortunately my 9th grade English teacher ruined Catcher in the Rye for me. We had to count the number of times Salinger used certain words. FFS....otherwise it's a great name!

  I posted previously that when I asked my DH what he thought of this name, his mind immediately went to jokes of LNs to go with it, like McGroin. I apologize for the crudeness, DH does have a 13 year old sense of humor, but now I can't think of the name without laughing. I guess I have a 13 year old sense of humor too.   This. It's one of those names I love and DH hates. I think it's good for both kids and adults, and I like the preppy feel it has to it.

  I love the name! My sister named her son that and he is one now. The name went over very well with all our family which has never happened before with all our picky and opinionated family members. Great name!
