Is it sad I got more entertainment out of the Airplane conversation than the actual thread? How do y'all not know Airplane? I'm in awe that there are people out there who don't know it!
Op, the only way we can really answer this question for you is if you follow it with a pic of your butt crack. Have you checked your crack lately...? Hmmm, well have you?

I'm a middle school teacher, and whenever the kids earn a movie day, or during breaks from standardized testing, I make them watch 80s movies.
This past year, my 7th graders saw: Goonies, the entire Back to the Future Trilogy, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Spaceballs. Sadly, Airplane is a little too risque for me to show them. But they loved all the others.
I feel it is my duty as a teacher to pass on knowledge of popular culture as well. These are the kinds of classic movies they'd never get exposed to otherwise, esp. since most of my students are the children of immigrants, and thus their parents wouldn't necessarily watch them.
I do the same. We watched ghostbusters and they loved it. Also then they can't argue over who has seen what.
