I actually like my mother-in-law! :)  She is a really good grandma and even though she is annoying at times, I am happy she spends so much time with DD.

This is probably not a UO...but for all of you without avatars and siggies...get one! I remember people by their photos, not their names most the time.

Also...the ticker change posts are for you ONCE a week. The people that post on them everyday annoy the $h!t out of me!

    Sorry...had to say that :)

I had a ticker but ever since they changed it I cant get it to show :(

I agree! I love my MIL, she is actually coming over today and we are going to lunch. Don't get me wrong, I've witnessed some pretty awful Mothers in Law, but I was very fortunate with the one I got.

Yeah, I don't see the appeal. He looks dumb to me, like the built jock who can't do math.

I totally agree! I didn't see Magic Mike but Channing Tatum is not appealing to me. I am so not attracted to the muscle/jock/into their own looks types. I couldn't stand those guys in high school and still can't stand them now!

  • I also agree with the "Is this normal" posts being annoying. If you search long enough on the board you will see someone already asked the same question.

Also I do not like coffee. I rarely will drink any type of coffee drink but if I do it has to a cappuccino, frappuccino, or some type of latte.

  • My super unpopular opinion... I hate all of the real housewives shows!! There is nothing real about them or their drama, and it's not entertaining.

I've never been Able to sit through one. My husband watches them, and a of the other reality shows...then compares them to my grays anatomy. Uh uh...not even close.
  • This isn't my first rodeo, so to me a lot of the OMG IS THIS NORMAL?!?! posts are pretty tedious and I roll my eyes at quite a few of them. That said, I just don't have the energy to get up in arms about them because really, who cares? They're posts on a message board FFS.
On a related note: all the "is this bloat or is this bump?" posts are annoying... and all the repeats of the same topic... at least scroll through the first two or three pages of posts to see if something has already been posted before you start a new topic! It's not that difficult.

I don't like coffee either. I can't even do the fancy drinks with chocolate, caramel, or special golden sprinkles, all I can taste is the coffee.

Completely agree.  I find it hard to reply nicely the way I did for the first few, but then I feel bad if I give too much snark since they're just worried and new to it all.  But yes, please scroll a few pages before asking a question!

  • I dont like facebook, I dont let family put my kids on it.

I hate those cards at drugstores that give rewards. I cant stand the idea of "the man" knowing my every move. haha

Also I only do cash I dont do credit cards at all or car payments.
  • I also don't user credit cards either... never got into it and glad... If I don't have the money in my account then I don't need it. All the debt we have is our mortgage and my student loans. I'm fine with that! :)

Actually, it's pretty beneficial for your credit rating use credit cards so long as you use them responsibly. We put the gas for our cars on credit cards and pay them off each month just so we help boost our credit rating.

Totally get this, but we just never got into them and I'm fine with that. Paying our student loans goes to boost our credit rating too... We had pretty awesome credit when we bought our house without the need for a CC, but I do understand how it can help your credit score. We also paid off a car using a loan which also helped it...

  • im super annoyed that with the switch I somehow ended up with two profiles, so it won't let me change my avatar. Its all set up on my real profile but not on this one...

SO maybe not so unpopular, but mainly for that reason, I am not a fan of the updates.

(I think maybe it merged my Knot account with my bump account? I dunno its the only thing I can think of, I just want my old profile back...)

I hate mean people, I don't ever see a reason to be disrespectful. I love political/religious debates, but most people can't debate without becomin dosrespectful and that irks me. *rant over *
  • Since we're talking money... My UO is that I think people who buy brand new cars (unless they are quite wealthy) are ridiculous.

  • Nobody doubts that responsible credit card use is not helpful in boosting credit. Some people just dont play the game, and if I dont have to then why would I bother?

  • Since we're talking money... My UO is that I think people who buy brand new cars (unless they are quite wealthy) are ridiculous.

Ive never purchased a new car, but I think sometimes it makes sense. Interest rates tend to be lower on brand new car purchases. If you are not handy, repairs of vehicles can be costly, and new cars come with better/more comprehensive warranties. Personally, I'd never buy a car newer than 5 years old. But I understand why people choose that route..
  • Since we're talking money... My UO is that I think people who buy brand new cars (unless they are quite wealthy) are ridiculous.
I just bought a new car because I can afford it. I'm not wealthy, but the money for it is saved. I wanted the new style of Elantra.
Meh.  Your money, your decision.  Personally, we buy used cars so we can put more into our investments.

My DH bought me a new car when I graduated college... I had a amazing job lined up and we had the money saved and we decided to get a loan. The particular car when looking for used was only $1,000 less then buying new... and I'm not joking! It was stupid to buy used when we could just spend the extra funds and get new without any miles. It is our family car and we love it. We also have visions of keeping this car for a VERY long time... so I understand buying new in some cases.

This was exactly our reasoning. Buying used didn't really save much money.
We were in the same boat.  Looked at used cars and they just weren't that much cheaper.  Then the safety standards changed in 2012 and the new cars were MUCH safer.  Since we were buying for the little one we were hoping to have, we decided to spend a little more and get a safer car.
