UPDATE>Good News/Bad News

I tried to go in and edit my original post, but couldn't quite figure it out. Apologies. 

I had my cerclage this afternoon. My dr was very optimistic going into the OR, but that changed fairly quickly. 
Turns out, I have basically zero cervix left. She couldn't find enough cervical tissue to make the cerclage and I started
bleeding. We talked about it and decided to abandon the entire thing, up the progesterone and go on strict bed rest. She wanted to take one 
last look at my cervix and she managed to find some tissue that she could work with. 
She's not totally happy with how this turned out. She wants a better cerclage, but we get what we get, right? 
Right now, our goal is to get to 24 weeks so we can pump steroids and hope to God that I can get to at least 28-30 wks, 

It's scary and nerve wracking, but for the immediate short term, it looks like LO and I are okay. We just need to keep it that way for another 15-20 weeks.

Thanks so much for everyone's thoughts, prayers, messages, and well wishes, I appreciate every single one of them.

ETA- I just realized this was posted from an account I had opened from The Knot. I'm on my laptop---I haven't touched my laptop since probably April. Sorry for any confusion. I don't know if I've used this account here before- my usual account name is Meggie421. Ooops :-)

    I'm staying tonight as well as last night. FX I can go home tomorrow. I think I'd be a whole lot less restless in my own bed with my own comforter!

    Stay off your feet. I know some doctors don't think bed rest does anything, but mine does and it makes me feel better.

    Very scary. It sounds like your doctor is on top of things, though. Lots of hugs and positive thoughts to you. Hang in there!
