You can speak to free LC's through the Similac feeding expert program. I think they are available 24/7. Also my insurance offers free LCs via phone. You may want to check both of these options out.
I was going to ask this exact question, through our hospital it may be around 65 dollars. I had never thought that I would have to pay, silly me I guess. I am wondering about this one and may become an EP but need advice making the decision. I had also looked up the LA leche league and was going to call.
When I had blue cross health insurance three years ago they had a LC on staff you could call for free for the first month (might have been longer too) maybe check your insurance. Also check your local community center. I have a group at the Y that's $20 and you meet with a LC for 2 hours.
