Funny story- I had a patient in labor once who tested positive for cocaine. When we asked her about it, she goes "Well I don't know how that got in there. Someone must have out that in my beer." SMH! :-t
I don't think I've changed anything except skipping alcohol. I had already cut out most diet coke and I'm not a big coffee drinker.
I've been drinking tea, eating eggs and lunchmeat. Had a diet coke when they made a mistake at the drivethru and I didn't want to wait to have them change it. I'm more focused on cutting crap (processed food and artificial sweetener) and eating healthy than I am about small risk factors in certain things.
I've been drinking pop to help settle my stomach. (Soda for you non-midwesterners ). I was also in the process of redoing DS's room when I got my bfp. I just painted his room over the weekend. :-SS I am still playing slow pitch as well. I would have never done these things with my first pregnancy.
Glad to know that we have an awesome group of March 2014 Mamas with some good heads on our shoulders I have been impressed by the lack of "I was outside for ten minutes in 90 degree heat. Will my baby be okay?" posts.
Damnit, there goes my next post
I'm like the rest of you. Big believer in moderation I had some prosciutto yesterday, and it wasn't even hot! And I followed it up with some cheese that I didn't know if it was pasteurized or not.
Without thinking I ate a turkey sandwich from panera bread. Afterward I realized and wasn't worried at all. Doesn't mean I will purposely do it again. As far as eggs I do hard boiled but they haven't been appetizing to me lately. I'm not an extremist when it comes to food no-nos.
Aside from raw fish, alcohol and too much caffeine, I ate pretty much what I wanted last pregnancy, and am as well for this one. I found many a cooked sushi spot.
The one time I was ill over food was from a spinach salad.
No worries I'm totally limiting but haven't eliminated the no-no list.
I'm a sucker for sushi and may have had some delish fatty toro. I was craving it so bad and it was amazing. and I have had 2 lunchmeat sandwiches. oh....and some soft cheeses....gosh when I write it all out I feel like such a bad girl!
I love cold deli meats! I rarely ever warm them up which is really hard to remember. I try to eat just one cold sandwich a week! I do watch my seafood intake. I keep it to once a week we should be fine
I've done what everyone else who is a "rule breaker" has done - had sushi last night (not raw), med rare steak, over medium eggs (once that i cooked myself) and a couple sandwiches. So little sounds good, so I just eat what I feel like, within reason of course.
