Bald spot!!

I just got my hair highlighted on Thursday and as my hairdresser was putting in my foils she gasped! I have a bald spot the size of a nickel right smack in the middle of the back of my scalp! It's about 3 inches up from the nape of my neck. Luckily I have very thick hair, so it's totally hidden. I'm hoping it's just a result of hormones settling...and not something more serious. Has this happened to anyone else?

    No bald spot...I think....now I must go check! I have lost A LOT of hair since DS has been born, I mean lots!...maybe 50% of the volume. I didn't shed a strand while I was pregnant so I guess the hormones have now shifted and all that wasn't lost has now decided to fall out...in clumps :(

    My sister had a bald spot the size of a tennis ball behind her ear! It grew back so hopefully you have nothing to worry about :)

    You and me both, sister!  I thought a "body wave" (it's just a beachy wave version of a perm) would be a great way to put some life into my thin hair after having my baby.  LOL!  Turns out, it was just a great way to speed up all my hair falling out.  With all the hair I've been losing my shower drain looks like I'm drowning a small dog every morning and I have clear bald patches that I've had to cover with frequent ponytail and hair teasing.  I'll be sending you good hair vibes while I'm trying to cover my own patchy spots.  I guess the point of my story is that you're not alone.  Hang in there and good luck!

    Good to know, Abca! I had a body wave years ago and was thinking of doing it again. I'll wait to my body is off this crazy roller coaster ride! DC - I know, right!? Lucky for them they're adorable!!
