Minor freak out

So, we just got back from our beach vacation - and I was reading a pregnancy mag that came while we were away and there happened to be an article about skin products noms should avoid, etc. One of the mentioned ingredients is in sunscreen, and another ingredient is used in aerosols (I mainly use the spray sunscreen). Bad timing for that article! I will say that I was always outside when I sprayed, so it's not like I was huffing chemicals in an enclosed space, and I only applied once a day...what have you been told by your docs, if anything, about sunscreen? Ugh...I thought I was being so good by using it...

    My doc said all sunscreens are safe. However, I'm paranoid and splurged on a paraben and oxybenzone free sunscreen lotion (Supergoop) and I honestly love it so much that I may never go back to the easy to find store brands. I'm also anti-spray screens (even prepregnancy though because I'd rather spread the lotion on myself evenly) because I try to limi my aerosol exposure as I use aerosol hairspray (and even that I try to limit). BUT, if you were outside when you applied I'm sure you're ok! Hope you had an awesome beach vaycay.

    I asked my OB and he said use it. I swim by myself so I have use aerosol to get my back. You can't change the fact that you used it now, so there's no use in stressing over it.

    I use the normal store brands and my doctor told me that was fine! I don't use aerosols but I do use aerosol hair spray and dry shampoo, not every day but I have used them and they told me that if my hair dresser said they are fine that they are safe and I'm not in an air tight room huffing them. So I am sure you are fine!

    Dang, I use the spray kind on the kids at work. So much easier, never thought about it being bad since I'm not in the corner huffing sunscreen.
