FFFC!!!

Re: FFFC!!!

  • One of the main reasons I've decided to stay home while my husband goes to visit his family is because his mom will inevitably comment on my weight (even though I started healthy and am on track for normal 25-35lb gain) and it makes me feel really bitter towards her. It's also a 7 hour drive away so that obviously comes into play too, but I did get my docs permission to go, soooo... Yeah, I just want to avoid the weight comments.

  • I totally bit my bosses head off today and blamed it on hormones. Really I just knew that I was right and wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine.

My boss is my dad and he is kind of a dick wad hot head some times... He really did deserve it.

My husband drank pumpkin beer last night.  It is my favorite kind of beer and all it makes me think about is football and my favorite time of the year!!  He's away at a conference and when he texted me about it I immediately burst into tears and threw a small tantrum.  Good thing nobody was here to see it.  It was pretty embarrassing.  But I am still upset that I didn't get the beer.  Obviously baby is worth it, but as soon as I can, I'm getting a pumpkin beer and I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it.

Ooooh, right there with you, sister. I LOVE pumpkin beer and fall season, football etc.  Have you ever had Pumking by Southern Tier? Sooo good.
YESSS!!!!  That is actually my favorite one.  I don't know how to describe it but it's almost like a liquid version of pumpkin bread.  The spice is just right and it is amazing!!!!  I'm literally drooling right now.

Liquid pumpkin bread? I'll definitely have to try that. I'm so ready for Fall and all things pumpkin that comes along with it!

As far as my confession....I told a friend a couldn't watch her kids because I was cleaning, anddd I haven't been lol. If it makes me sounds any less horrible, it was a last minute request and she already had someone else that had agreed to watch them :P

  • The love it button has turned me into an extremely lazy commenter eh most people usually say what I wanted to say and since I can't do gifs or thumbs up or smileys the love it button is my new BFF.

@AFwifelife I thought I was the only one with this irrational fear. I hate vomiting and I especially hate doing it in front of other people, including DH.
Vomiting will be the least of your worries at that point! lol I threw up right after giving birth, while delivering the placenta. It sucked...but what are ya gonna do. MH saw much worse in the course of the previous hour. haha

As soon as I feel up to "celebrating" PP I'm starting a beer recommendation thread with you ladies. Yes, I think that will be grand.
I'd always thought Dogfish was local to PA but I'm seeing now it's all over the east coast.. Which is amazing. I lied when I said SA was my favorite beer. Yuengling totally is. That one's definitely a tri-stater, if that. I don't even think bars in Jersey carry them.
Will have to try Three Brothers and Southern Pier. :-bd
Southern Tier. :) They usually come in big bottles that have 2 pints worth in them. Their Chocolate Stout is good too, but don't bother with the Creme Brulee :-&

We just got Yuengling in Ohio about a year ago. Oh the confetti and fanfare! It's not bad at all. I'm just kinda beer snob, if I am going to drink it (more of a wine girl)- it better be interesting.

LMAO at my typo. I was clearly drunk when I typed that.

Ohio has Yuengling now??!? Holy crap! That's awesome! I don't know why I like it so much, it's definitely not a local pride thing, because we also originated Appalachian Brewing Co and I think their beer kinda sucks. The raspberry is the only one worth trying but it's still pretty eh. Not a fan of berry flavored beers. Or chocolate stout, unfortunately :l But I DO love me some lager.. I'd say I like Yuengling because it's super easy to drink. I say it tastes best from the bottle. DH says it tastes best from "a dirty tap." Ew.

  • @msronzio Dogfish is brewed in Delaware. They have a restaurant and brewery. Their food is as great as their beer.
:O And here I was thinking they were from Erie. Derpppp

  • @happybride 276 you are right! The closest brewery is in Rohobeth. I was tragically misinformed. The good news is that there is a Heavy Seas brewery locally. Another winner in my opinion. Are we just teasing ourselves mercilessly? Yuummmm, beeeeeeer.

Now I want to go to the Heavy Seas brewery! Have you been? Yes, it is a bit of a tease, but let's say it's preparing for our future enjoyment!

    ;)

  • I have GD and i have been doing extremely well at maintaining low numbers with diet alone and have so far avoided the need for meds. Today i BEASTED on some angel hair pasta which is my weakness and washed it down with 2 huge glasses of milk...... Blew my sugar OFF. THE. CHARTS. Then i was nauseous for an hour. Serves me right.
