TICKERS and SIGGY ANSWERS!!!

OMG. I feel so acomplished! lol

Okay. So I noticed when playing with my siggy earlier that there is a "show source" option on the formatting bar. Then someone mentioned how they used to view the quote breaks. Anyway, that led me to playing with my siggy again,...

And voila! I fixed it!!!

Okay. What to do to get your most recent siggy back (Lord I hope this works for everyone).

Tip: open the links below in two separate tabs.

1. View your old siggy source here: https://www.thebump.com/profiles/currentusername/settings/avatar/index\
2. Copy the entire box
3. In the new edit siggy section here: https://forums.thebump.com/profile/signature, click on the show source button (the one second from the right on the formatting bar that looks like a white piece of paper with 2 red arrows, one pointing right, the other left).
4. Delete what's there and paste the old source code.
5. Click save
6. Go to any other post you've made, refresh the page and see what your siggy looks like. If my theory is correct, it will look the way it did before the changes.

ETA: For future changes involving a ticker, you will need to be in the "show source" view before pasting the code to insure it works

This makes it so much easier to update siggys. Just dragging and dropping the actual image to the box works too! Thanks again kimbo!

@yesthisiskim0401, what exactly is wrong when you copy and paste the code? Have you tried fixing it once you view back in the regular form at all?

It looks like yours is just doubled. Go into the second link I posted, and delete EVERYTHING that's there. Then copy what was in the first link and paste it in the second one. Does that makes sense?

hmm mine worked for a second and then switched to showing the code under my comments instead of my badges/ticker.

I did BSCmandi style and delete it.

The badge should be an easy fix. Instead if trying to insert it in code format, just insert it using the default format that comes up when you click in the link by using the insert picture button on the formatting bar.

Does that make sense?

I was able to fix it. I had to use my laptop. The new Bump doesn't work so great on my iPad.

yeah. for siggies, I'd definitely use a computer over tablet or mobile device.

@MosyMama, the "default format" is just the format that comes up when you click on that second link. Use the "insert picture" button (the one that looks like a tree to the left of the chain link" on the formatting bar, and paste the image location there.

You can get the image location by:
- clicking on the October 2013 Moms announcement,
- then click on the badge you want to get the original image
- then right click on the badge and select "copy image location"

Does that help?

@MosyMama, you can make it smaller too (if you want) by manually adjusting it.
