RSVP for birthday invite?

Did you include an RSVP by date? If so, was it via call/text/e-mail? There's only 3 non-family couples we've invited that might not show up so I don't think it's a big deal? At the same time, I do need a head count for food....

Second question, how many invites did you order? Just enough? Extra? I'm thinking extra and sending to family members back home I know can't travel to be there, but thought it'd be nice - especially since it has pics of him. Am I kidding myself thinking they'd find this a nice gesture?

I included an RSVP date along with our home number and my e-mail. I know I would rather just shoot someone an e-mail then get on the phone, most of the time! I ordered about 5 extra invites - one to keep for ourselves and a few just in case there are people I forgot.

I didnt send an invite to peeps that I knew wouldn't be able to make it because I thought it would look gift grabby

I included an rsvp by date of 2 days before party. I made the invitations myself, and made 10 when we only need 8 to send out. One for us to keep and one extra just in case.

I included a rsvp w/tel # and email, no date, no extras. I think it would be a sweet gesture, if it's family and they know, YOU know they can't make it. They'll enjoy seeing his pics and something to put on their fridge.

Would you be expecting a gift tho? I wouldn't...

I did phone and RSVP by date. Just a couple of extras in case and no I didn't send them to people I know couldn't come. But mine didn't have his picture.
