2nd Trimester

15 weeks and loss of appetite with headaches/migrains

I am 15 week tomorrow and I have almost lost my appetite. Noting sounds good and I don't want to eat anything. I don't eat supper or really anything after 5:00pm. Other then Captain Crunch.. I don't have a hard time keeping things down I just don't want to eat anything.  I also have been getting bad headaches/ migraines which make me nauseous and that makes it so I don't want to eat at all. Is anyone else having these problems?

  • Dealing with this as I type. Doc just called in an Rx, because, between my job and two kids I need to be functioning way more than I have been this week.

  • Ask your Dr. for meds for the nausea.  Also, right when you feel the headache coming on drink something with caffeine, a coffee or a coke and take a tylenol.  It should help.  Hang in there :(

  • I don't know about you but when I don't eat I get horrible migraines.  I literally have to shove it down my throat but I do feel better later.

  • I'm feeling this way as well and tomorrow is the start of week 15, the headaches just started, but I am still having the all day nauseousness and lack of appetite. Every time I do eat something I have to make enough for seconds because I will throw the first half up and keep the second half down. On top of that, everything leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. I'm hoping that week 15 will bring some positive changes.
  • Thanks Ladies ;) This helped a lot. :) I am doing a little better.. I am back to eating like I did before I was pergers... kind of thought I was going to gain a lot of weight and want to eat everything in sight, not so much. The headache went away after 4 days... I finally gave in and had a coke and it was amazingly good. I have my 16 week apt on Monday so I can ask my Dr. and see what she says.  THANKS AGAIN

  • Im 14 weeks and I started getting the headaches when i started my 2nd trimester.  Its horrible. Im trying to avoid taking tylenol.
  • I guess I was very dehydrated. I drank about 2 gallons of water in a day and have kept a big water bottle with me that has number on the side so I knwo how much I am drinking a day... THis has helped a lot. I was out of work for two days because I couldn't function because of my headache/ migraine. I did try a coke and that didn't help so I ate a bagel and drank a ton of water took a Tylenol and by about 3:30 pm I started to feel better. I was able to east supper and except for the frequent bathroom breaks sleep all night. IT WAS AMAZING!!!

If you are getting headaches drink lots of water. Yes you are going to have to pee more but its totally worth it if it helps you to feel better. I have gotten my appetite back for the most part... there are just some foods I am staying away from...

Thanks for all your help ladies it really means a lot. :)

I just started week 15, and oh. my. god. I just want to rip my own head off! I've been drinking about two cups of water every hour. Tylenol eases the pain, but it's still frustrating. I get a little dizzy sometimes, and when I eat, I feel like puking.

Recently, I've been listening to beach waves crashing sound effects and it really helps! It soothes my headaches
