You can change how the posts are sorted. If it's bumping the newly-replied-to threads to the top, then it's probably set to sort by most recent reply. Scroll to the bottom and change it to sort by post date.

iPhone 3 users, you won't be able to update any further than you have. The 3's aren't capable of supporting the new software after a certain point (I believe IOS 5 is the highest). The first generation iPads aren't able to update beyond IOS 5. Just FYI since Apple just informed us of all of this when we were in the other day :bz :bz
